  • Patent number: 7552210
Abstract: A method of handling cookies defines a scope attribute, which is in addition to a domain attribute and path attribute. The method allocates separate storage areas for cookies according to identified scopes and a global storage area for cookies with unidentified scopes. The method determines if a cookie received with a response includes an identified scope. If so, the method stores the cookie in the storage area allocated to the identified scope of the cookie. If the cookie has an unidentified scope, the method stores the cookie in the global storage area. The method determines a scope, domain and path for an outgoing request. The method retrieves and attaches to the outgoing request cookies from the global storage area having the determined domain and path.

  • Publication number: 20050258006
Abstract: For an air-operated disc brake there is provided an internal brake actuator stroke indicator which provides an indication, readily ascertained from outside the brake caliper, of the amount of actuator stroke remaining in a disc brake apparatus before a remaining available actuator stroke limit is reached. In one embodiment, the stroke indicator is a mechanical device, readable through a sight glass in a caliper port, coupled to the brake actuator in a manner which results in rotary motion of the indicator when the brake actuator is displaced through its stroke. Alternatively, the indicator may be a rotary sensor such as an electrical potentiometer coupled to the actuator, where the potentiometer sends an electrical signal indicative of the actuator stroke to an external display, such as a remote actuator stroke display at a vehicle operator's position.

  • Publication number: 20050021821
Abstract: The invention involves a refinement to conventional data transmission over packet networks (e.g. IP). Conventionally, multimedia streaming systems use either a reliable protocol (e.g. TCP) or an unreliable protocol (e.g. UDP) for the media transmission. Each method has its own benefits. Using a reliable protocol ensures that all the packets arrive at the receiver, but this does require more bandwidth due to protocol overheads and it introduces more delay. An unreliable protocol is lightweight and faster although the data stream may be subjected to packet loss. In the present invention a combination of both protocols is used, where an unreliable protocol is employed initially followed by a reliable protocol at the end of the media clip. The unreliable protocol is used for the low delay transmission of packets while the reliable protocol at the end is used for the transmission of packets that were initially lost.

  • Patent number: 6771089
Abstract: A test fixture having an adjustable capacitance (10) and a method for testing a semiconductor component using the test fixture (10). The test fixture (10) includes a loadboard (12) having a semiconductor component receiving area (14), and a power supply input terminal (16) capable of receiving an unbuffered constant current bias signal from a power supply (18). A semiconductor component is coupled to the semiconductor component receiving area (14). A switched capacitor network (21) mounted on the test fixture (10) is configured so that a desired load capacitance is coupled to the power supply input terminal (16) when the semiconductor component is initialized. Then the switched capacitor network (21) is configured so that substantially zero capacitance is coupled to the power supply input terminal. Power supply voltage fluctuations are mapped while the semiconductor component is biased with the power supply and receiving a voltage alteration signal from a laser.

  • Patent number: 6546513
Abstract: A method and apparatus mechanism for testing data processing devices are implemented. The test mechanism isolates critical paths by correlating a scanning microscope image with a selected speed path failure. A trigger signal having a preselected value is generated at the start of each pattern vector. The sweep of the scanning microscope is controlled by a computer, which also receives and processes the image signals returned from the microscope. The value of the trigger signal is correlated with a set of pattern lines being driven on the DUT. The trigger is either asserted or negated depending the detection of a pattern line failure and the particular line that failed. In response to the detection of the particular speed path failure being characterized, and the trigger signal, the control computer overlays a mask on the image of the device under test (DUT).

  • Patent number: 5733094
Abstract: A cart for storing and transporting granular material comprises a storage bin having sidewalls which converge inwardly and downwardly to a trough and a sump. The trough extends across a portion of the bottom of the storage bin and opens into the sump which extends at least partially below the trough. A drag auger is rotatably secured in the trough. An unloading auger assembly is secured to the storage bin and extends from the sump, upward along the front left corner of the bin and therebeyond. A lower portion of an auger of the auger assembly extends into the sump. Grain stored in the bin flows by gravity into the sump where it is advanced out of the bin by the unloading auger assembly. The drag auger may be independently engaged to advance grain to the sump which would not otherwise advance to the sump by gravity feed alone.
