  • Patent number: 11446657
Abstract: A microfluidic system comprising a chamber closed by movable elements and connected to at least one channel. The system has at least one structured component and at least one component attached to the structured component. The chamber is used such that the movable element can be moved into the chamber as well as out of the chamber by a movement of the movable element. Liquids or gases can be moved via one or more channels connected to the chamber by the movement and dispensed or received out of the structured component via a connection of the channel. A liquid reagent reservoir is connected to the pump chamber via the sample supply channel. Thus, the system can be used to receive, pump, dilute, mix, and dispense liquids or gases.

  • Publication number: 20210291175
Abstract: A fluidic system includes a chamber with movable elements. The chamber is connected to a channel. The system contains at least one structured component and at least one element affixed thereto and at least one fluidic interface which can be closed by means of a cap or valve. Fluids or gases can be moved via one or more channels, and moreover can be dispensed from or taken into the system, by moving the movable element both into and out of the chamber. A fluids reagent reservoir can be connected to the pump chamber or the channel system for dilution purposes and also for supplying reaction components or scrubbing fluids. The system can be used for taking in, pumping, diluting, mixing and dispensing fluids or gases.

  • Patent number: 8944819
Abstract: An oral care agent delivery device is provided which comprises a permanently deformable backing layer, an oral care layer, and a non-woven binding material with a first part that is substantially invested in the oral care layer and a second part that is substantially invested in the backing layer. The device is sized to fit over a plurality of teeth in an upper or lower dental arch of a subject. The oral care layer comprises at least one oral care agent and at least one hydrophilic polymer. When hydrated, the oral care layer has an adhesiveness relative to the surface of a user's teeth that is sufficient to retain the device on the user's teeth when placed thereon. The device can also have an oral care agent which is activated on hydration of the oral care layer, or an oral care layer which releases the oral care agent over time.

  • Patent number: 8821446
Abstract: A microneedle applicator is provided which has two roughly concentric portions which may be, for example, a solid disk and an annulus surrounding it. On the skin-facing side of the inner portion of the applicator a microneedle array is located. The outer portion of the applicator is placed against the skin, contacting it at a zone. The microneedle array is then pressed towards the skin.
