  • Patent number: 7720524
Abstract: A method and system of detecting a disease state in a targeted organ is described using nuclear medicine techniques. In preferred embodiments, a radiotracer with specific uptake for diseased portions of the targeted organ is administered to a patient. A gamma ray counter with at least one gamma ray detector is used to count gamma rays emitted by the radiotracer. By placing the gamma ray detector over the location of the targeted organ, the gamma ray counter can provide a quick yes or no answer on whether the disease state exists in the targeted organ.

  • Publication number: 20070119114
Abstract: A method of forming a composite door is disclosed. The method comprises: mixing together a thermoplastic polymer with an organic fibrous material in a ratio such that the organic fibrous material constitutes 40 to 60 percent by weight of the mixture; extruding the mixture under heat and pressure to create a thin sheet form; cutting the sheet to a predetermined size; removing material from at least one surface of the sheet to create a homogeneous appearance devoid of obvious fibrous particles; thermoforming the sheet to impart to the at least one surface an exterior three dimensional door surface to create a thin door facing; and assembling two of the thermoformed thin door facings, a peripheral frame and a core material into a door.

  • Publication number: 20070082997
Abstract: A composite door structure especially suitable for use as a door facing is provided. The structure comprises about 40 weight percent to about 80 weight percent thermoplastic polymer; up to about 30 weight percent glass fibers; and a filler selected from (a) about 5 weight percent to about 40 weight percent mineral filler and (b) about 10 weight percent to about 50 weight percent organic fibrous additive. A composite door comprising the door facing, and methods of making the same are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20030018559
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, a method, system, and program for producing a work of art over a network based on popular demand is disclosed. The preferred embodiments collect bids for a work of art wherein the number of bids for the work of art is recorded in a specific project record and the work of art is ordered to be produced if the number of bids for the work of art reaches a minimum number of bids. Moreover, further embodiments obtains a pre-payment or a guarantee for payment for the work of art while collecting bids for the work of art. In addition, further embodiments set a cutoff date by when the number of bids must reach the number of minimum number of bids or cancel the work of art if the cutoff date has been reached and the number of bids for the work of art associated with the project record does not reach the minimum number of bids.
