    Abstract: A system and method capable of automatically rebalancing financial portfolios to optimality, are disclosed. Using stored customer-defined optimization data, the system determines if the current portfolio is imbalanced beyond a customer-defined tolerance level and if so, it transmits a “rebalancing-needed” alert message and a list of recommended rebalancing transactions via customer-defined communications methods. The customer reads the message and decides if he wishes to authorize portfolio rebalancing. To authorize portfolio rebalancing, the customer merely responds to the alert message. In a preferred embodiment, the customer's response may constitute performing a single action, such as pressing a button or speaking a sound. After the authenticity of the received customer response is verified, the system implements the customer's single response by transmitting execution instructions to an electronic trading system, which in turn executes the rebalancing transactions to optimize the portfolio.

    Abstract: A synthesized compound that is able to neutralize oxidizing agents such as nitrates from water systems, from ground surfaces and other sites. When contaminated water is passed through the synthesized compounds or when the synthesized compounds are applied to contaminated surfaces (such as feedlots), the nitrates are reduced to elemental nitrogen gas and calcium sulfates. The harmless nitrogen gas is vented into the atmosphere while the insoluble sulfate compound is collected and available to use as a soil amendment or other uses.

The view component identifies the attributes or data stored in the object that may be displayed on the user interface. The view component encapsulates the information needed to display the object's data, so that the user interface can be a generic browser. The standard objects encapsulate physically-constrained properties or human comfort-constrained properties.

    Abstract: An auxiliary device is provided for use with a metered-dose aerosol device. The auxiliary device comprises a chamber having an inlet adapted to receive the metered-dose aerosol device, and an outlet. A mask adapted to communicate with the nose and/or mouth of an infant or young child communicates with the chamber outlet via a first valve which permits the infant or young child to inhale aerosol-carrying air from the chamber, and communicates with atmosphere via a second valve permitting exhalation therethrough. The distance between the chamber inlet and the chamber outlet is such that the mass percentage of aerosol particles having a diameter of from 1.0 microns to 5.0 microns is substantially a maximum at the chamber outlet, and the volume of the chamber is from 200-500 ml.

    Abstract: The apparatus is comprised of a connection conduit comprising a mouth piece at one of its extremities, a sound generator provided with a nose, as well as a digital time measuring unit. A tapping exhaust orifice allows to tap a portion of the expired air. The orifice has an opening which is adjustable by simply turning a cuff, screwed on the outside of the conduit. When the patient expires in the apparatus, only a well defined fraction of the airflow is directed towards the sound generator, the remainder being eliminated in the atmosphere through the tapping exhaust. The airflow which remains is directed through the sound generator wherein a well defined note is produced.
