    Abstract: An adsorption apparatus, containing activated carbon, which fits into standard manholes of various sizes and allows sewer gases driven by a positive pressure to vent through the activated carbon, is described. The odor associated with the sewer gas is reduced or eliminated by the activated carbon contained in said apparatus.
