    Abstract: An apparatus in which a plurality of developing rollers deposit particles on a latent image. The developing rollers are activated and de-activated sequentially in response to the leading edge and trailing edge, respectively, of a latent image being closely adjacent to the rollers. The developer particles are transported from a storage chamber by at least one transport roller to at least one pair of feed rollers prior to its transfer to the developer rollers. A device for controlling the amount of developer particles transported by the transport roller to the feed rollers is positioned closely adjacent to the feed rollers.
