  • Patent number: 4749370
Abstract: A cable clamp for an electrical connector in which first and second clamping walls are moved into overlapping relation to deform transversely and trap between them a portion of the cable to be terminated. Cam means urge overlapping portions of the walls together into gripping engagement with the trapped cable portion and cable gripping means insure that cable is only drawn from one direction during clamping to avoid straining the termination.

  • Patent number: 4642480
Abstract: A low profile cable capable of undercarpet transmission of electrical signals is disclosed. The body of the cable includes an essentially flat central region and tapered wings extending outwardly from the central region. It is fabricated of a flexible polymer for positioning around curves. The wings may include cut out sections and opposing slits to facilitate bending of the cable around such curves. The transverse section of the body is symmetric about both its central vertical axis and its central horizontal axis.

  • Patent number: 4508411
Abstract: A one-piece wire stuffing cover having a series of tubular terminal receiving sockets with wire gripping slots at front and rear faces and respective wire stuffers between the slots, lead-out openings for wires terminated by the cover being provided in the sockets rearward of the wire stuffers. The lead-out openings are provided by rebated portions in the sockets which define wire engaging shoulders extending across a rear axial end of the terminal for strain relief. The slots in the rear face diverge progressively to release the wire at the rear face during termination.

  • Patent number: 4283105
Abstract: A terminal board and mounting frame are disclosed. Electrical terminals are arranged in rows and columns on the terminal board and are adapted for splicing or cross connecting high density communication wiring for communications, data processing, telemetry, signal control and broadcasting applications. The terminals are sleeve form blanks having wire receiving open seams in which wires are electrically connected by forcible insertion along the seams.

  • Patent number: 4236778
Abstract: A barrier block is disclosed which incorporates an electrical terminal in the form of a hollow cylindrical barrel provided with a longitudinal slot divided into one or more pairs of wire gripping jaws. The barrel is integral with a second electrical contact seatec on a web which interconnects a pair of partition walls. Opposite ends of the barrier block are molded with intermateable channels allowing a plurality of barrier blocks to be intermated and latched together.

  • Patent number: 4210379
Abstract: A barrier block is disclosed which incorporates an electrical terminal in the form of a hollow cylindrical barrel provided with a longitudinal slot divided into one or more pairs of wire gripping jaws. The barrel is integral with a second electrical contact connected to the barrel by an integral loop serving as a sloped wire stop at the entry of said barrel. Each electrical terminal is mounted on a web which interconnects partition walls. One of the partition walls is provided with a hook and a latch. Another partition wall is provided with a hook receiving recess and a latch receiving recess allowing a plurality of barrier blocks to be hooked and latched together.

  • Patent number: 4202589
Abstract: A fuse holder includes a pair of electrical terminals which releasably clamp opposite ends of a fuse. Each terminal has a wire terminating, slitted barrel portion to which wires are connected without a need for tools. The fuse and the terminals are enclosed within a two piece dielectric housing adjustable in length to accept a range of fuse lengths. Means are provided to prevent undesired loosening or opening of the housing.
