  • Patent number: 5924836
Abstract: A trailer having a front section and rear section connected with hinges is disclosed. The front section of the trailer comprises a front bed section mounted to a front frame section having a tongue extending therefrom. The rear section of the trailer comprises a rear bed section mounted to a rear frame section resting on a wheeled axle. A first pair of hinges detachably connects the front and rear sections of the trailer at the top of upwardly extending sides of the bed sections. A second pair of hinges detachably connects the frame sections of the front and rear sections of the trailer below the bed. The rear section of the trailer may be rotated downwardly with respect to the front to form a ramp, or the front rotated over the rear to shorten the overall length of the trailer for storage.

  • Patent number: 5655624
Abstract: An oil filter spill directer attachment for engines and comprised of a flat reformable member of maleable material characterized by a mounting section for attachment to the engine and an oil collector section with a trough for directing an oil spill, the sections being defined by side flanges with weakening on predetermined bend lines to angularly displace said sections for effectively adapting the attachment to an engine, for directing oil away from the engine as the filter is removed.

  • Patent number: 4513331
Abstract: A method and apparatus for checking performance and alignment of a disk drive designed for use with a floppy disk having a motor driven linear positioning mechanism for locating the read/write transducer over the diskette circular tracks. A digitally prerecorded diagnostic diskette has a series of precisely located special diagnostic tracks providing reference data for various alignment and response characteristics, both mechanical and electronic. A first group of tracks have sector ID blocks followed by progressively offset data blocks interspersed therein, with the range of the offset greater than the width of the track for which the disk drive is designed, which guarantees a read failure upon reading any track. These tracks are distributed radially across the surface of the diskette at positions corresponding to each rotational phase position of the transducer stepper motor.

  • Patent number: 4141232
Abstract: An article of manufacture to eliminate ease of destruction of a slotted hasp and/or staple combination utilized to lock a door, secured together by a padlock, whereby unauthorized entry is prevented. The inventive subject matter includes a pair of spaced rigid members in secured relationship to each other, with each having an aperture placeable in contiguity and alignment with the pocket or cavity of the staple which displaces the void or spacing between the secured members. One species of the invention includes a horizontally-disposed segment at its rear end and which maintains in spaced position the members to each other, the members terminating at their other ends or faces in an open manner in order for a slip-on connection to the staple after the hasp's slot is in placed or closed upon the staple. With such connection, the rear end abuts the staple's bow while the configuration of the guard's faces at its open end cooperates with the form of the hasp.
