  • Publication number: 20160140499
Abstract: Systems and methods provide engineering process and document management to a mobile fleet of users. A server computer and a relational database form at least part of a process and document management system. The server computer processes information from the relational database to predictably identify workflow information and engineering document information that may be needed by one or more users in the field to service field assets. The server computer may push the identified information to one or more mobile devices of the one or more users in the field via one or more communication networks. The mobile devices allow users to mark-up engineering documents in the field and provide the modified documents back to the server computer.

  • Patent number: 6042873
Abstract: Pet chews (140, 141) are made from pieces of cleaned cattle hooves (10) by reducing the hoof pieces to a range of particulate sizes, such as by tumbling the pieces of hooves within a rotary chipping drum (62). The particulate hoof material (30) is separated by size at a shaker table assembly (104). Several sizes (A-E) of particulate hoof material are combined in chosen proportions with a collagen protein binder (144) and formed into the pet chews, typically by compression or by extrusion, having appropriate strength, hardness and toughness.

  • Patent number: 5057333
Abstract: A pet food flavor enhancer (46) is made from pieces of cleaned cattle hooves (10) by reducing the hoof pieces to a granular size (40) by tumbling the pieces of hooves within a rotary drum (62) having inwardly opening louvered openings (74) formed in the circumferential sidewall (66) of the drum. The louvered openings have sharpened cutting edges (76) so that the pieces of hooves are chipped as they strike the cutting edges. The chipped pieces of hooves are collected after passing through the louvered openings and are separated by size at a shaker table assembly (104). The shaker assembly separates the desirable granular hoof material product from larger hoof material (36) and smaller hoof material (42).

  • Patent number: 5007879
Abstract: A method for processing cattle hooves (38), for use as a dog chew includes the steps of cleaning (42) the hoof, removing (44) a thin portion of the bottom (24) of the hoof to minimize removal of the hoof pad (26). This is accomplished by positioning a bandsaw blade (48) adjacent a backing plate (54). The bottom of the hoof is placed against the backing plate and the hoof is moved into the bandsaw blade. This results in a relatively thin layer of the bottom of the hoof being removed, generally equal to the thickness of the bandsaw blade itself. The top (6) of the hoof is removed (62) as well and then the hoof is passed through a number of steps for finished processing, including the following steps: pre-wash (64), first boiling (66), first rinsing (68), second boiling (70), second rinsing (72) and drying (74). A finished tumbling step (74) is used to smooth over sharp edges and to remove any thin, brittle edges (30 ) of the hooves for safety.

  • Patent number: 4413972
Abstract: A device for use in making doughnuts or the like having a partition of inverted frusto-conical form provided with a central opening; an inner tubular ring extended downwardly from the partition in circumscribing relation to the opening; an outer tubular ring extending downwardly from the partition in circumscribing relation to the inner ring; a container for dough mounted upwardly on the partition; and a valve head fitted to the opening selectively for opening and closing the opening to deposit dough from the container for cutting by the rings into a doughnut and a plug centrally of the doughnut, the configuration of the respective lower sides of the partition and of the head facilitating release of the doughnut and the plug from the rings.

  • Patent number: 4259945
Abstract: An exhaust system washing apparatus for use in an exhaust system having a flue and a suction fan to draw air through the flue in which a fluid conducting swivel joint is mounted at each end of the flue and together define an axis of rotation disposed centrally of the flue, a pair of substantially parallel conduits extended longitudinally of the flue and mounted on the swivel joints for revolution about the axis, and provided with orifices disposed toward the interior of the flue, one swivel joint being connected to a source of washing fluid under pressure and the opposite joint being adapted to receive a portion of the fluid from the conduits for delivery to a nozzle which emits such portion onto the blades of the fan.

  • Patent number: 4031910
Abstract: An articulated spray applicator particularly suited for use in cleaning the interior of segmented flues and the like characterized by a plurality of series connected angularly related conduits, each having an internal passage a longitudinal axis and a plurality of spray orifices, each orifice having an axis extended tangentially to a circle concentric to the axis, a stationary support supporting adjoining conduits for rotational movement about the longitudinal axes thereof and interconnecting the passages in a fluid transferring series relationship, and a coupling connecting the passage of at least one of the conduits with a source of fluid under pressure, whereby the fluid is discharged as a spray from the orifices and a turning moment acting about the axes is established for imparting rotation to the conduits.
