  • Publication number: 20020138068
Abstract: An implantable, refillable, rate controlled drug delivery device is disclosed that includes a base structure having at least a first opening and a second opening, the base structure defining a chamber, a septum covering the first opening and configured to substantially prevent leakage from the first opening to an exterior of the device, a drug delivery tube comprising a first and second distal end, wherein the first distal end of the tube communicates with the chamber through the second opening, and at least one rate-limiting permeable membrane disposed across a passage between the base structure and the second distal end of the drug delivery tube, which membrane passively regulates drug delivery. The drug delivery device is used to provide controlled drug delivery to an internal portion of the body and is advantageously leak-proof and does not rely on a pressure differential to drive the drug from the device.

  • Patent number: 6315595
Abstract: A distribution terminal for connecting incoming telephone cable wires to drop lines has a plurality of bases. Each of the bases has a platform and two lateral sides on opposite edges of the platform. Mating releasable connectors are on each of the lateral sides of the bases for securing a number of the bases together, side-by-side. Each of the bases has three electrically conductive penetrators extending through the platform. Two of the penetrators have terminal ends for connection to a twisted-pair of wires of the incoming telephone cable. The third penetrator is connected to a ground. A module may be releasably secured to each of the bases over the platform. Each module has a pair of IDC clips. Each clip engages one of the penetrators when the module is secured to the base. Each of the modules has a pair of holes adjacent to the clips for receiving ends of drop wires. An actuator for each of the modules pushes the drop wires into engagement with the clips.

  • Patent number: 5423509
Abstract: A combination holder for beverage containers and personal stereos or recorders for mounting on stationary exercise equipment or the like. The holder generally has a cavity for holding a personal stereo, recorder or other device. The holder also has a generally circular opening for insertion of a beverage container. Wire legs extend outwardly from the holder beneath the circular opening to support the beverage container. The holder is secured to the bar of exercise equipment by wrapping attached straps having hook and loop material around a horizontal bar of the exercise equipment.
