  • Publication number: 20240115473
Abstract: A composition comprising: (i) 0.01 to 10 wt % of a branched or dialkyl cationic conditioning surfactant; selected from Structures 1, 2 and 3, as further defined herein; (ii) 0.01 to 10 wt % of a linear cationic conditioning surfactant; (iii) 0.1 to 10 wt % of a linear fatty material; (iv) 0.1 to 5 wt % of a structurant; and (v) a particulate benefit agent selected from conditioning actives; the composition having molar ratios of branched or dialkyl cationic conditioning surfactants (i) to linear fatty material (ii) in the range of from 1:10 to 1:1 and a molar ratio of branched or dialkyl cationic surfactant (i) to linear fatty material (iii) in the range of from 1:20 to 1:1. The composition results in improved particulate benefit agent deposition onto bleached hair.

  • Publication number: 20240082130
Abstract: A composition comprising: ? (i) 0.01 to 10 wt % of a branched cationic conditioning surfactant selected from structure 1 ?wherein: ??R1 and R2 comprise linear alkyl chains, saturated or unsaturated, with carbon-carbon chain lengths of from C4 to C20; ??R3 comprise either a proton or linear or branched alkyl chains, saturated or unsaturated, with carbon-carbon chain lengths of from C1 to C5; ??n has a range of from 0 to 10; ??XG is an organic or inorganic anion; ?(ii) 0.1 to 10 wt % of a linear fatty material having at least one linear carbon-carbon chain, selected from a linear fatty alcohol, a linear alkoxylated fatty alcohol, a linear fatty acid and mixtures thereof; ? (iii) 0.1 to 5 wt % of a nonionic structurant; and ? (iv) a particulate benefit agent selected from conditioning actives; wherein the molar ratio of branched cationic surfactants (i) to linear fatty material (ii) is in the range of from 1:20 to 1:1, results in improved particulate benefit agent deposition onto bleached hair.

  • Patent number: 5994000
Abstract: Acyclic, asymmetric methyl alkyl carbonates, particularly for use with a carbonaceous, e.g., graphite, anode, in electrolytes suitable for portable power sources, are disclosed. Asymmetric alkyl carbonate solvents, having the general structural formula MeO--CO.sub.2 R, where R is larger than methyl, can be used as the only solvent in the non-aqueous electrolyte of a portable power source; no other solvent is necessary for superior performance in, e.g., high energy density lithium ion batteries or high power electrochemical capacitors. Furthermore, an asymmetric alkyl methyl carbonate can serve as the primary solvent for a non-aqueous electrolyte, i.e., the solvent providing the requisite properties, with the appropriate volume balance being made up with a combination of cyclic and acyclic carbonates or esters chosen for a particular application.

  • Patent number: 5986879
Abstract: Acyclic, asymmetric ethyl alkyl carbonates, particularly for use with a carbonaceous, e.g., graphite, anode, in electrolytes suitable for portable power sources, are disclosed. Asymmetric alkyl carbonates having the general structural formula EtO--CO.sub.2 R, where R is larger than ethyl, and most preferably equal to butyl, iso-butyl or sec-butyl, are particularly useful in causing the freezing point of the electrolytes in which they are used to decrease dramatically, thus providing the key to low temperature, high cycle life and high capacity for portable power sources.
