  • Publication number: 20060080216
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products are disclosed for establishing and using credit limits between counterparties and for managing risk in the trading of financial interests. The invention provides a trading party with the ability to control the amount of future financial exposure that the trading party will incur with any counterparty in one or more future time periods in trades by the trading party during a trading session. A trading party may establish and use credit limits with potential counterparties in the trading of financial interests having a future financial exposure such as foreign exchange (“FX”) forwards contracts, forwards contracts in commodities, e.g., precious metals, energy, etc., stock options, futures contracts, bonds, loan contracts, money market certificates, other fixed income securities, etc. Credit limits may be used to permit proposed trades to be completed or not depending upon available credit.

  • Publication number: 20050267773
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes creating a key field on a machine-readable medium. The key field has an ontology logic that includes a context for a business class and an equivalency between the key field and a business class. The method also includes creating the business class on the machine-readable medium. The business class has an ontology logic that includes the equivalency between the key field and the business class.

  • Patent number: 6508114
Abstract: A webbing tension sensing unit which includes a base and a cover and an elastically biasing element mounted within the base and cover. The webbing of, for example, a seat belt is operably connected to a sensor also housed within the base and cover. The sensor detects movement in relation to the elastically biasing element and generates electrical signals in proportion to the movement as a function of the tension in the webbing. The signals are used for analysis as part of a system to determine if devices such as an air bag or warning light should be triggered.

  • Patent number: 6495775
Abstract: A socket provides power to a mating connector plug when actuated by a switch integral with the socket. The switch can be actuated by insertion of the connector plug, by pivoting open a socket cover, by sliding a slide cover into an operational position, or by a combination of the above. The switch is isolated from the power supplied to the socket and acts as a power supply signal to enable socket power. The socket is powered only when needed as indicated by the actuation method, thereby reducing draw on a power supply connected to the socket. The switch actuation methods described also provide safety features by disabling power to the socket unless the socket is actually in use. The socket cover and slide cover also prevent access to the socket unless positioned to receive a connector.

  • Patent number: 5819935
Abstract: A dispenser for a roll of sheet material which comprises a sheet material housing within which is rotatably supported the roll of sheet material. The housing can be in the shape of a box composed of a base and a lid which are hingedly connected together or can be in the shape if a cylindrical tube with access to within the housing being provided by a removable end cap. Each housing includes a longitudinal slot through which the free end of the roll of sheet material is to be conducted and located exteriorly of the housing. Mounted on the exterior surface of each housing directly adjacent each slot is a cutting shelf which is substantially the same length as the slot. The unwound sheet material is to rest on the shelf and provide a cutting surface for severing of the unwound section of sheet material from the roll.

  • Patent number: 5803592
Abstract: A Lambertian light source assembly has high uniformity, large size, and high brightness, typically having a non-uniformity about 10% or less (e.g. about 5%), and a surface brightness of at least about 2000 footlamberts. The assembly includes a light emitting element (such as a single arc lamp, e.g. a metal halide lamp), a first reflector having an interior diffuse reflective surface comprising a portion of a surface of revolution and a center axis, a second reflector, and a diffuser. The diffuser is connected to the first reflector. The light emitting element is substantially centrally located on the center axis, and the second reflector is located between the diffuser and the light emitting element and reduces the apparent surface brightness at the center of the first reflector and blocks the majority (e.g. all, or almost all except adjacent the first reflector) of direct illumination of the diffuser by the light emitting element.

  • Patent number: 5765747
Abstract: A pour spout fitment is disclosed for inside installation through a pre-cut opening in one of the slanted roof panels of a gable top container. The fitment includes a spout base portion having inner and outer flanges which provide a recessed area therebetween wherein the size of the inner flange is greater than the size of the outer flange, the size and shape of the outer flange is substantially the same as the size and shape of the pre-cut opening, and the size of the recessed area is smaller than the size of the outer flange. The recessed area is adapted to capture protrusions located around the periphery of the pre-cut opening of the roof panel which extend inside the circumference of the pre-cut opening to temporarily retain the fitment in place until the inside flange of the base portion can be adhesively bonded to the inside of the roof panel.

  • Patent number: 5037501
Abstract: A hand held and manually operable masking machine having a sheet material housing on which is rotatably supported a paper roll and a pair of adhesive tape rolls. One tape roll dispenses adhesive tape to overlap a portion of one edge of the paper roll with the other tape roll dispensing adhesive tape to overlap a portion of the opposite edge of the paper roll. The front edge of the housing is formed into a cutting blade which is to be manually used to cut through the paper roll once the desired extended length has been obtained with this cutting also occurring through the tape that is secured to the side edges to the paper roll.
