  • Publication number: 20160248717
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and system for providing notification of events. Specifically, embodiments disclosed herein describe a method and system for generating dynamic messages based on events and transmitting the dynamic messages to various users over a social networking platform. Embodiments include receiving product data and comparing the product data to a set of predefined trigger parameters. If it is determined that the product data satisfies one or more of the trigger parameters, a dynamic message is generated. In certain embodiments, the content of the dynamic message is based, at least in part, on the product data. The generated dynamic message is then automatically transmitted to a set of recipients over the social networking platform.

  • Patent number: 9409029
Abstract: An antenna assembly includes: an antenna including: a metal signal layer having a radiating surface; and a feed port; and a waveguide surrounding the antenna and configured to guide electromagnetic energy transmitted from the radiating surface in a direction away from the antenna; and a controller module connected to the feed port and configured to drive the antenna to transmit electromagnetic energy from the radiating surface; wherein the antenna, waveguide, and controller module are configured such that, when the controller module drives the antenna, the transmitted electromagnetic energy matches a reception characteristic of an implantable device and is sufficient for the implantable device to create one or more electrical pulses of sufficient amplitude to stimulate neural tissue of a patient, solely using electromagnetic energy received from the antenna, when the implantable device is located at least 10 centimeters away from the antenna.

  • Patent number: 8324894
Abstract: A linearly polarized eddy current sensor including a source antenna and a parasitic antenna coupled to the source antenna, serves as a high sensitivity tool for the measurement of the surface impedance of sheet goods without requiring contact with the sample. Sheet goods can have an anisotropic, frequency-dependent surface impedance that is sensitive to minor changes in configuration of the sample. Because the electric field induced by the sensor is linearly polarized, measurement of directionally dependent sheet impedance can be achieved. The measurement is performed with the resonant device operating in resonance mode whereby the immediate proximity of the material to be measured causes damping and shifting of the coupled loop resonance. The resonant frequency of the sensor can be tuned by making changes to its geometry.

  • Patent number: 5714588
Abstract: A method of producing recombinant transforming growth factor .beta.-induced H3 protein and the use of this protein to accelerate wound healing. H3 promoted adhesion of human dermal fibroblasts to tissue culture plastic. The protein is applied directly to a wound or is used to promote adhesion and spreading of dermal fibroblasts to a solid support such as a nylon mesh which is then applied to the wound. In addition, CHO cells expressing H3 inhibited tumor cell growth.

  • Patent number: 4588114
Abstract: A base for removably mounting a carrier box is permanently fixed on a motorcycle baggage-carrier frame. The underface of the carrier box has a recessed portion with grooves at each end for slidably engaging the carrier box on flanges of the base and locking the box in position by means of a latch mechanism, thus providing a theft-proof device and enabling the user to remove the box and carry it by hand in the same manner as a briefcase or suitcase.
