Patent number: 12037154Abstract: A method for performing a task in registration with a discrete seal in at least one material is described herein. The method involves simultaneously forming a discrete seal and a fiducial/eye mark in the at least one material. The method includes providing a detection device; providing a unit operation mechanism; and performing an operation on the material(s) in registration with the discrete seal. The task performed in registration with the discrete seal is based upon the location of the eye mark that was simultaneously formed with the discrete seal. A method of making flexible containers using cutting to form the outer periphery of the packages is described herein. Also described herein are flexible containers and container blanks made by such a method.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2021Date of Patent: July 16, 2024Assignee: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventors: Joseph Craig Lester, Michael Paul Hausfeld, Mark Mason Hargett, Marc Richard Bourgeois, Benjamin Jacob Clare

Patent number: 8662549Abstract: A method of lifting an aircraft at a lifting location including the steps of securing a fitting to the aircraft when the aircraft is at the lifting location, the fitting including an attachment member configured to be secured to the item and a lifting member which is pivotally coupled to the attachment member. The lifting member has a socket for engaging a crane hook. Engaging the fitting with the crane hook and transmitting lifting load from the crane hook to the aircraft via the fitting. The crane hook has an attachment link having a first pivot point attached to the hook forward of its center of gravity, and a second pivot point configured to be lifted by a crane.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2012Date of Patent: March 4, 2014Assignee: Airbus Operations LimitedInventors: Richard Lester Hallett, Peter William Spence

Patent number: 5709204Abstract: The invention is a mask that can be used as an aircraft passenger oxygen mask, survival and escape mask. The mask includes a connector ring for connecting an oxygen supply. The oxygen connector is held connected to the mask by a pin, but can be removed with the pin in place by utilizing a break-away ring mounted in and held in place in the mask by an O-ring. Valves in the mask and connector allow a person to breath in oxygen and exhale while the oxygen supply is connected, and to continue to breath in through a filter and exhale through a valve after the oxygen supply has been removed.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 1996Date of Patent: January 20, 1998Inventor: Richard Lester
