Abstract: An apparatus is provided to facilitate identification and/or locating of an object. The apparatus includes a receiver to receive wireless signals and an indicator coupled to the receiver to provide an indication of valid activation signal detection. The apparatus further includes a power controller coupled to the receiver and a power source to prevent power from being supplied to the receiver in a first mode and enable power to be supplied in a second mode. The power controller is configured to automatically switch from the first mode to the second mode in response to reception of at least one defined range of signal frequency.
