Publication number: 20140052058Abstract: A breast pump provides multiple orientations of the pumping lever with respect to the breast shield. A breast pump includes a liner extending from the breast shield, through the suction chamber, and out of the suction chamber, which liner shields other components of the pump from contamination by the flow of milk through the pump during pumping operation. A breast pumping device includes a pumping lever for manually providing a cyclical vacuum within the suction chamber and an external pumping source, connected to the suction bell, that the user can activate to provide a cyclical vacuum within the suction chamber. A breast pump provides a smaller change in the grip width from when the lever is fully-extended to when the lever is fully-retracted, allowing more comfortable manual pumping.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2013Publication date: February 20, 2014Applicant: TOMY INTERNATIONAL, INC.Inventors: James J. Britto, Richard M. Foley, Brian R. D'Amelio, Thomas A. Hagerty, Bryan R. Hotaling, James R. Varney, Jon R. Rossman

Patent number: 6658681Abstract: A nursing pillow has a flexible, positionable spine that allows the pillow to be deformed into a number of stable shapes. The spine is enclosed within a resilient body forming a medial region and first and second cantilever arms extending from opposite ends of the medial region to define a central opening between the arms in an unloaded, nominal shape. The spine is of sufficient stiffness to keep the pillow from returning from an adjusted shape to its nominal shape when unloaded. The spine may be formed of articulating links, or a malleable rod.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2002Date of Patent: December 9, 2003Assignee: The First Years, Inc.Inventors: James J. Britto, Richard M. Patent number: 6210561Abstract: An integrated process for converting a hydrocarbon feedstock having components boiling above about 100° C. into steam cracked products is described. The process first involves passing the feedstock to a hydrotreating zone to effect substantially complete decomposition of organic sulfur and/or nitrogen compounds. The product from the hydrotreating zone is passed to an aromatics saturation zone. The product is then passed to a steam cracking zone. Hydrogen and C1-C4 hydrocarbons, steam cracked naphtha, steam cracked gas oils and steam cracked tar are recovered. The amount of steam cracked tar produced is reduced by at least about 30 percent, and the amount of steam cracked tar produced is reduced by at least about 40 percent, basis the starting hydrocarbon feedstock which has not been subject to hydrotreating and aromatics saturation.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1997Date of Patent: April 3, 2001Assignee: Exxon Chemical Patents Inc.Inventors: Carl W. Bradow, Dane C. Grenoble, Richard M. Foley, Brendan D. Murray, Bruce H. C. Winquist, Stanley N. Milam

Patent number: 6190533Abstract: An integrated process for converting a hydrocarbon feedstock having components boiling above about 100° C. into steam cracked products is described. The process first involves passing the feedstock to a hydrotreating zone at a pressure in the range of from about 400 psig to about 1,250 psig to effect substantially complete decomposition of organic sulfur and/or nitrogen compounds. The product from the hydrotreating zone is passed to a steam cracking zone. Hydrogen and C1-C4 hydrocarbons, steam cracked naphtha, steam cracked gas oil and steam cracked tar are recovered, where the amount of steam cracked tar produced is reduced by at least about 15 percent, basis the starting hydrocarbon feedstock which has not been subject to hydrotreating.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1997Date of Patent: February 20, 2001Assignee: Exxon Chemical Patents Inc.Inventors: Carl W. Bradow, Dane Clark Grenoble, Stanley N. Milam, Bruce H. C. Winquist, Brendan D. Murray, Richard M. Foley
