  • Patent number: 10363798
Abstract: An insert for a vehicle door that has one part that is separable from another part of the door. The insert may have a body having a first end, a second end, a longitudinal axis extending between the first end and the second end and through the center of mass of the body, an opening at the first end, and an inner surface that defines a cavity extending from the opening toward the second end. The inner surface has a first portion and an opposing second portion wherein the distance from the first portion to the axis decreases from the first end toward the second end of the cavity along at least a portion of the cavity. The distance from the second portion to the axis increases from the first end toward the second end of the cavity along at least a portion of the cavity.

  • Patent number: 9902245
Abstract: A vehicle includes a roof panel assembly and a sunroof glass panel. The roof panel assembly defines an opening. The sunroof glass panel has an arm extending from a side thereof. The sunroof glass panel is configured to cover the opening in the roof panel assembly and operable between a closed position, an open position, and a tilted position. The arm extends outwardly past a periphery of the opening in the roof panel assembly. The arm is configured to engage the roof panel assembly to restrict movement of the sunroof glass panel relative to the roof panel assembly.

  • Publication number: 20150246605
Abstract: A vacuum blocker for a movable roof panel is provided and moves between an open position and a closed position and between a seated position and a lifted position when in the closed position relative to an opening formed in a fixed roof panel of a vehicle. A seal member is supported by the fixed roof panel and forms a first seal at a junction of the fixed roof panel and the movable roof panel when the movable roof panel is in the seated position. A flap extends between the seal member and the movable roof panel and forms a second seal at a junction of the seal member and the movable roof panel when the movable roof panel is in the closed position and is moved from the seated position to the lifted position.

  • Patent number: 8556330
Abstract: A hinge assembly may include first and second hinge portions, a pivot pin, and a retaining member. The first hinge portion may be secured to one of a vehicle body and a door, and may include a first aperture and a protrusion. The second hinge portion may be secured to another of the vehicle body and the door, and may include a second aperture and a first detent. The protrusion may engage the first detent when the door is in an open position. The pivot pin may selectively engage the first and second apertures to provide relative rotation between the first and second hinge portions. The retaining member may engage a portion of the pivot pin and may be axially movable relative to one of the first and second apertures.
