  • Publication number: 20240090810
Abstract: A neurofeedback system includes an EEG apparatus, a presentation apparatus and a controller. The controller is configured to: (i) cause the presentation apparatus to display an overlaid image to the user that comprises a first image flickering at a first frequency and a second image flickering at a second frequency different than the first frequency, the first image being an affective distractor stimulus image and the second image being a task-relevant stimulus image, (ii) receive from the EEG apparatus a number of first steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) signals generated in response the first image of the overlaid image and a number of second SSVEP signals generated in response the second image of the overlaid image, and (iii) calculate feedback indicative of how much attention of the was user allocated to the task-relevant stimulus image versus how much attention of the user was allocated to the affective distractor stimulus image.

  • Patent number: 11931259
Abstract: Disclosed herein are expandable introducer sheaths and methods of making and using the same. The sheaths minimize trauma to a patient's vasculature by allowing for temporary expansion of a portion of the sheath to accommodate passage of a delivery system for an implant, then return to a non-expanded state after the passage of the device. The sheath includes a foldable inner member having a detached flap structure at its distal tip that facilitates expansion of the sheath lumen to increased diameters, and an elastomeric distal end that reduces push and retrieval forces therethrough. The sheath can include a hemostasis seal on its proximal end to prevent the leakage of blood out of the sheath and prevent ballooning of outer layer of the sheath.

  • Patent number: 4674231
Abstract: A magnetic door opener device adapted to be positioned below a countertop made of non-magnetic materials, the device having a pair of magnets which attractively interact with a pair of magnets attached to the bottoms of a pair of windows which are suspended on a trolley for movement to or fro to determine closed and opened positions of the window. The device underneath the countertop comprises a pair of spaced toothed sprockets supporting an endless belt having inner and outer runs, the outer run supporting a magnet adapted to magnetically cooperate with a magnet in the bottom of one of the windows, and the other run of the belt supporting a different magnet adapted to attractively cooperate with a magnet in the bottom of the other window. A motor control and limit switches are provided for controlling the opening and closing positions of the windows when a control switch is operated by an operator.
