Patent number: 11196987Abstract: In one embodiment, a method is provided. The method includes comparing a first hue of a displayed test pattern with a second hue of a generated test pattern to determine one or more differences in hue. The displayed test pattern is displayed on a display of a media viewing device, and the media viewing device receives and displays digital content. The displayed test pattern includes a first plurality of steps, and a first step of the first plurality of steps includes the first hue. The generated test pattern includes a second plurality of steps, and each step of the second plurality of steps includes the second hue. The one or more differences in hue are utilized to determine a quality of the digital content displayed on the media viewing device.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2015Date of Patent: December 7, 2021Assignee: NBCUniversal Media, LLC.Inventor: William Richard Mandel

Publication number: 20150144447Abstract: An adjustable luggage system comprised of telescoping poles joined by a pair of corner hinge joints and stationary joints and surrounded by a rigid shell, with each side of the shell constructed of four panes with U-channels to maintain alignment of panes and rigidity of the structure. The luggage system may be adjusted in three dimensions, which allows the luggage system to increase up to six times the size of the original capacity. The telescoping poles may be accessed at the external panels of the adjustable luggage system in order to adjust the size in three dimensions. The adjustment or locking mechanism of each pole is located along the telescoping pole. The luggage system opens on one side but is permanently closed on the remaining sides. The entire rigid shell covers the telescoping frame such that by adjusting the telescoping poles and therefore adjusting the rigid shell surrounding the telescoping poles.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 22, 2013Publication date: May 28, 2015Inventor: Richard Mandel

Publication number: 20060195488Abstract: Disclosed is a method, system, program, and data structure for performing a clean operation on an input table. The input table to clean is indicated in an input data table name. At least one rule definition is processed to clean the input table. Each rule definition indicates a find criteria, a replacement value, and an input data column in the input table. For each rule definition, the input data column is searched for any fields that match the find criteria. The replacement value for the particular rule definition is inserted in the fields in the input data column that match the find criteria. Subsequent applications of additional rule definitions applied to the same input data column operate on replacement values inserted in the input data column during previously applied rule definitions. At least one of said rule definition includes multiple find criteria and a corresponding replacement value for each find criteria.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 11, 2006Publication date: August 31, 2006Inventors: Mark Cesare, Tom Christopher, Julie Jerves, Richard Mandel
