    Abstract: An aft frame for a duct of a combustor includes a rail or radial projection that extends circumferentially around the aft frame and that defines an outer surface of the aft frame. A preformed cover plate having an inner surface is attached to the outer surface of the aft frame. A plurality of micro-cooling channels is formed within at least one of the inner surface of the preformed cover plate and the outer surface of the aft frame. The preformed cover plate extends across the plurality of micro-cooling channels.

    Abstract: A sealing arrangement for sealing between a stage-one nozzle and an aft frame includes a seal comprising a flexible sealing element. The flexible sealing element includes an intermediate portion, a first outer portion on one side of the intermediate portion, and a second outer portion on the other side of the intermediate portion. The intermediate portion is mechanically loaded against the first stage nozzle and the aft frame, and the first outer portion and the second outer portion are pressure-loaded against the aft frame and the stage-one nozzle.

The sealing arrangement includes first and second circumferential outer seals with a radial side seal therebetween, the outer seals include circumferential extensions with an installation clearance, and the side seal includes a leaf that obstructs the installation clearance. The sealing arrangement also includes a notch on the side seal that forms a sliding joint with extensions of the first and second outer seals.

The side seal includes a first wing extending radially outward at an oblique angle and a second wing extending radially outward at an oblique angle, the first wing of the side seal sealingly interfaces with the wing of the first inner seal and the second wing of the side seal sealingly interfaces with the wing of the second inner seal.

A support block extends vertically from the base plate towards the support plate where the support block defines one or more fastener holes for connecting an aft end of a combustion liner of the combustion module to the support block. A central support column extends vertically from the base plate towards the support plate. A horizontal support extends radially outward from the central support column to align the combustion liner with the opening in the support plate.

The serpentine cooling passage is in fluid communication with the inlet port and the exhaust port. The main body defines a cooling channel that is fully circumscribed within the main body and that extends between the first portion and the second portion. The combustor includes a plurality of fuel injectors arranged around a combustion liner, an inner flow sleeve, an outer air shield that surrounds the plurality of fuel injectors and the inner flow sleeve. The outer air shield defines an injection an air plenum between the outer air shield and the inner flow sleeve and an inlet to the injection air plenum. An external fluid circuit provides fluid communication between the extraction port and the inlet port. A baffle extends between the outer casing and the outer air shield to provide flow separation between the inlet and the high pressure plenum.
