A validator takes as input an authorization policy to be analyzed and a schema that specifies entity types and their attributes, types of entity parents in an entity hierarchy, and which entity types can be used with which actions. The validator checks that the policy conforms to the schema. If the check passes, then the policy is guaranteed to be free of both type errors and attribute access errors for any input that conforms to the schema.

    Abstract: A rotating electrical machine is disclosed, the machine comprising a stator comprising a stator core and stator end windings extending out of the stator core, a rotor arranged to rotate inside the stator, a rotor shaft, the rotor shaft having a hollow interior, a coolant circuit for circulating coolant through the machine, and a machine enclosure. The coolant circuit comprises an injection tube arranged to introduce coolant into the hollow interior of the rotor shaft. The rotor shaft is arranged such that coolant exits the hollow interior of the rotor shaft at each end of the machine and is propelled outwards towards the stator end windings. The machine enclosure comprises a passageway for supplying coolant to the injection tube. A coolant distribution channel may be provided for distributing coolant to other parts of the machine to allow the machine to be cooled at multiple locations using the same coolant circuit.

First and second clamp members have first and second interconnected and clamp segments which are pivotally moveable to close around a conduit. A drive mechanism drives axial movement of the first and second clamp members relative to each other. The first and second clamp members engage first and second conduits on opposite sides of the severable connection. Each clamp segment has an inner surface comprising a recess adapted to receive a load shoulder on the conduits.

An annular sealing member is compressed between the first and second portions, and the axial load applied between the first and second shoulders by the preload mechanism exceeds a peak hydrodynamic load urging the first and second connector portions in a direction along the axis. The axial force applied by the preload mechanism advantageously reduces the fatigue damage experienced by the connection, for example, by cyclic pressure changes within the connector portions typically caused by pumps operating at high pressures.
