  • Patent number: 10195358
Abstract: The piston rod arrangement is in an assembled state before use and comprises a piston rod, a bung, which is intended to be driven by the piston rod, a body member, and a drive member. The piston rod is threadedly engaged with the body member, and the drive member is threadedly engaged with the piston rod and movable relative to the body member. A mechanism is provided defining unit steps of movement of the drive member and corresponding unit steps of movement of the piston rod. The piston rod is arranged in contact with the bung or at a distance from the bung that is less than a distance of one corresponding unit step of movement. When the piston rod, the bung and the drive member are assembled in the body member, the piston rod is advanced with respect to the body member towards the bung, until the piston rod is stopped by the bung. The drive member is rotated until the piston rod begins to advance again and the drive member is then stopped, and the piston rod is fixed at or near the position obtained.

  • Publication number: 20190001066
Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to an assembly for a drug delivery device having a housing part, a piston rod displaceable relative to the housing part, a first sleeve member and a second sleeve member. First and second sleeve members are coupled to the housing part. In an initial state of the assembly the first sleeve member is movable from an initial position to a second position relative to the second sleeve member which allows the piston rod to axially travel from an initial position to a predetermined second position such that the assembly is in a primed state. Moreover, in the primed state of the assembly, with the first sleeve member being in the second position relative to the second sleeve member, first and second sleeve members are permanently rotationally and axially locked to each other by a first engagement feature such that first and second sleeve members together form a sleeve.

  • Patent number: 9463285
Abstract: A medicated module for an injection system to co-deliver at least two medicaments is disclosed where a primary delivery device containing a primary medicament accepts a medicated module containing a single dose of a secondary medicament and where both medicaments are delivered through a hollow needle. The medicated module is initially in a locked state until attached to a drug delivery where interaction of the cartridge holder with the module bypass housing changes the module to a triggerable state. The medicated module does not require the user to manually engage a reservoir containing the secondary medicament. Instead, a biasing member automatically activates the reservoir when the needle guard is retracted when the module is in the triggerable state. The needle guard prevents accidental needle sticks before and after an injection, and locks after removal from the injection site.

The medicated module is initially in a locked state until attached to a drug delivery where a locking plate is moved to a triggering state. The medicated module does not require the user to manually engage a reservoir containing the secondary medicament. Instead, a biasing member automatically activates the reservoir when the needle guard is retracted when the module is in the triggering state. • Patent number: 9440027
Abstract: A module assembly for use with an injection system to co-deliver at least two medicaments is disclosed where a primary delivery device containing a primary medicament accepts the module that has an automatic triggering system activated by a dispense interface needle guard. When the module contains a single dose of a secondary medicament, both the primary and secondary medicaments are delivered through a single dispense interface, preferably a hollow needle. The module assembly does not require the user to manually engage a reservoir containing the secondary medicament. Instead, a trigger automatically activates movement of a lower hub when the needle guard is retracted.
