  • Publication number: 20240130677
Abstract: An optical sensing module suitable for wearable devices, the optical sensing module comprising: a silicon or silicon nitride transmitter photonic integrated circuit (PIC), the transmitter PIC comprising: a plurality of lasers, each laser of the plurality of lasers operating at a wavelength that is different from the wavelength of the others; an optical manipulation region, the optical manipulation region comprising one or more of: an optical modulator, optical multiplexer (MUX); and additional optical manipulation elements; and one or more optical outputs for light originating from the plurality of lasers.

  • Publication number: 20060227248
Abstract: A video mixer may be employed to form a transition between two video compositions, for example a fade or a wipe. A video storage device may be associated with the video mixer and plays out a video signal, the timing of which is controlled in dependence upon the progress of the transition made by the said video mixer.

  • Publication number: 20050288391
Abstract: An inkjet ink composition having a binder including an aqueous dispersion of polymer particles, the polymer including, as polymerized units, (a) from 0 to 1 wt. % monoethylenically unsaturated acid monomer, based on polymer weight; and (b) monomer of the formula CH2?C(R1)-CON(R2)(R3) wherein R1=H, CH3 or C2H5 and R2 and R3 are independently selected from C1-C6 saturated alkyl and cycloalkyl groups; and wherein the total of (a) and (b) is at least 0.1 wt % monomer based on the polymer weight. The binder may be a copolymer of ethyl acrylate and acrylamide. An inkjet ink composition including the inkjet ink binder, a colorant, and a liquid medium is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6817937
Abstract: A tool is used to remove a shell from the meat of a shellfish and includes a handle section having a rip element on one handle and a serrated pad on the same handle. The tool further includes arcuate sections having teeth so the shell can be cracked using the tool in the manner of pliers. Once the shell is cracked, the rip element is inserted between the shell and meat and forced forward to separate the shell from the meat. The shellfish is held in a stable manner on the tool by the serrated pad.

  • Patent number: 5762762
Abstract: Water distillation apparatus for convenient domestic use including a housing containing a condenser coil and having a vapor inlet and a distillate outlet. A fan cools and condenses vapor. A boiler is releasably connected to the housing by a vapor discharge outlet in the form of an inwardly-directed cylinder and the vapor inlet has a cooperating spigot termination so that the boiler may be moved away from the vapor inlet and filled with water for batch distillation. The distilland water is heated with an electric heating element and the distillate is discharged through a carbon filter into a discrete glass pitcher adjacent to the boiler. The arrangement permits easy removal of the boiler from the housing for filling with distilland or cleaning, as well as the convenient replacement of the boiler in the housing afterwards.
