  • Publication number: 20040021019
Abstract: The shredding machine operates according to the mincer principle. The machine has a filling hopper for receiving the material to be shredded, a feed screw, a working screw and a following cutter set, in which the feed screw is mounted below the filling hopper in a housing of the shredding machine. The working screw is detachably connected in non-rotary manner to the feed screw. Between the feed screw and working screw is provided a precutting device and a split pressure housing surrounding the working screw is pivotably held on the housing. On a discharge-side end section of the pressure housing is detachably held a block cutter set, which alternately has coaxially arranged rotary and stationary cutting elements. The rotary cutting elements being located on a knife shaft connected in detachable, non-rotary manner to the working screw.

  • Patent number: 6007007
Abstract: The invention relates to a cutter assembly for use in a meat grinder which consists of a disc perforated by bores of diameters which vary over the length of the bores thereby to provide dwell and massage zones and a rotatable knife in sliding engagement with one of the surfaces of the disc, the knife consisting of a peripheral ring and a hub with a plurality of evenly spaced first knife blades extending from the ring toward the hub, a plurality of evenly spaced second knife blades extending from the hub toward the ring, and a plurality of evenly spaced third knife blades extending from the hub to the ring, the knife blades forming between them cutting zones. The configuration of the perforations and the knife blades ensures cutting raw materials into particles of uniform size.

  • Patent number: 5944267
Abstract: An apparatus for removing gristle and the like from meat during a chopping operation in a feed screw apparatus having at least one axially perforated disc with a rotary bearing for receiving the hub of a rotary knife. A channel extends radially through the disc from the rotary bearing to the outside of the apparatus for discharging the gristle fed into it by the rotary movement of the knife arm extending from a hub journalled in the rotary bearing into engagement with a planar surface of the disc.

  • Patent number: 4315604
Abstract: A meat grinder has an arrangement for separating gristle and the like from the meat to be ground. The arrangement comprises an apertured discharge disc for the ground meat defining an axial bore having a threaded cylindrical portion and an adjoining funnel portion, a rotary cutter comprising a separating knife having a plurality of radial cutter blades in axial alignment with the disc and including oblique cutting edges adjacent the input side of the disc and arranged to convey the gristle towards the axial bore, and a separating casing which includes an annular threaded portion engaging the threaded cylindrical portion of the axial bore for threadedly mounting the casing in the bore for axial adjustment in relation thereto, and an adjoining separating head conforming to the funnel portion of the bore. The annular threaded portion defines at least one separating aperture adjacent the head.
