  • Patent number: 11927049
Abstract: A method of assembling a portal can include obtaining a stile, wherein the stile can include a first stile and a second stile; arranging a thermal strut and insulative bar between the first stile and the second stile, wherein the insulative bar can define a lock groove; arranging a lock assembly within the lock groove, wherein the lock assembly can include a fastening plate rotatably coupled to the lock assembly; and coupling the lock assembly to the stile by rotating the fastening plate and, thereafter, engaging fasteners to provide friction between the fastening plate and the insulative bar.

  • Publication number: 20240077637
Abstract: Systems and method presented herein enable the estimation of porosity using neutron-induced gamma ray spectroscopy. For example, the systems and methods presented herein include receiving, via a control and data acquisition system, data relating to energy spectra of gamma rays captured by one or more gamma ray detectors of a neutron-induced gamma ray spectroscopy logging tool. The method also includes deriving, via the control and data acquisition system, one or more spectral yields relating to one or more elemental components from the data relating to the energy spectra of the gamma rays. The method further includes estimating, via the control and data acquisition system, a measurement of porosity based on the one or more spectral yields relating to the one or more elemental components.

  • Patent number: 10578489
Abstract: Disclosed is a process and device that enables ultra-high resolution one- and two-dimensional spatial imaging of Rayleigh, Raman and Thomson spectral features without the need for a spectrometer. The disclosed approach provides the capability for imaging of a single spectral feature such as a single rotational Raman line and the simultaneous elimination of background scattering, or for separating the rotational Raman image from the Rayleigh scattering. High collection efficiency provides the opportunity for single pulse time frozen images to be acquired.

  • Patent number: 10508990
Abstract: Disclosed is an automated method and apparatus for automatically setting a drop delay period by detecting calibration particles in a waste stream. The drop delay is incremented over a series of drop delays and the number of calibration particles in the waste stream is detected for each drop delay. The drop delay is selected which has the least number of calibration particles in the waste stream.

  • Publication number: 20190176008
Abstract: An automatic ball launcher includes a base unit and a feed tube coupled to the base unit. The base unit includes an enclosure defining a forward opening where the balls eject and a top opening for receiving the feed tube. A pair of counter-rotating flywheels are disposed in a common plane and located inside of the enclosure. The feed tube includes an elongated tubular body with an open top end covered by a removable cap and an open bottom end configured to be securely inserted into the top opening of the enclosure. The feed tube can include a heating element to heat the balls to a desired temperature prior to launch. The feed tube can be used to collect balls from the ground without the user needing to bend over.
