Abstract: This description relates to methods and systems for providing user interfaces on a first system for browsing other systems coupled to the first system. In one embodiment, a method includes logging into at least one second data processing system (DPS) from a first DPS, the second DPS having a storage volume storing data and presenting user interface objects within a window which is provided by a file management software program which displays files and folders in a hierarchical file system, the window being displayed on a display device of the first DPS, the user interface objects corresponding to sharing services, which comprise file sharing and screen sharing. Optionally, networked printers may also be displayed. Other methods and systems and computer readable media are also described.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods and systems to allow, in one embodiment, automatic access from one system to other systems which include an operating system that includes a user login process. In one embodiment, a method includes logging into, automatically in response to starting a first data processing system, a second data processing system at least as a guest user of the second data processing system which has a storage volume storing data and displaying a user interface object on a display device of the first data processing system, the user interface object corresponding to at least one of the second data processing system and the storage volume to allow at least one of a search to be performed or a browsing to be performed of the data stored on the storage volume.

Abstract: This description relates to methods and systems for providing a connection from a first system to a second system using a server. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a user input to establish a sharing service on a first data processing system (DPS) for a user of a second DPS; determining, in response to the user input, whether the user of the second DPS has an account with a service which includes a server which is capable of being coupled to the first DPS through a network; receiving from the server, if the account exists, authentication data for use in authenticating the user of the second DPS when the sharing service is enabled. Abstract: In one embodiment, a neck bridge for bridging the neck of an aneurysm includes a junction region, a number of radially extending array elements attached to the junction region, and a cover attached to one or both of the junction region and an array element. The array elements are configured to be positioned within the aneurysm after the neck bridge is deployed from a delivery device. In a second embodiment, the neck bridge includes a junction region and a braided or mesh-like structure secured to the junction region. The braided or mesh-like structure is made from an elastic material.

Abstract: A method of forming a low-defect, substantially relaxed SiGe-on-insulator substrate material is provided. The method includes first forming a Ge-containing layer on a surface of a first single crystal Si layer which is present atop a barrier layer that is resistant to Ge diffusion. A heating step is then performed at a temperature that approaches the melting point of the final SiGe alloy and retards the formation of stacking fault defects while retaining Ge. The heating step permits interdiffusion of Ge throughout the first single crystal Si layer and the Ge-containing layer thereby forming a substantially relaxed, single crystal SiGe layer atop the barrier layer. Moreover, because the heating step is carried out at a temperature that approaches the melting point of the final SiGe alloy, defects that persist in the single crystal SiGe layer as a result of relaxation are efficiently annihilated therefrom.

Abstract: Method and system for transmitting data using power lines are disclosed. The method includes tying low voltage lines for the transmission of BPL signals but maintaining isolation of those voltage circuits in accordance with normal power distribution system practices. The system includes a plurality of power transformers, one or more low voltage circuits, wherein the low voltage circuits operate as separate electrical circuits, and a low voltage signal coupler, operable to couple one or more of the low voltage circuits.

Abstract: The present invention provides a security device for securing a spare tire and rim, retained by a winch mechanism, to the underside of an automobile. More specifically, the device includes a securing element that engages the rim and encloses a yoke of the winch mechanism to prevent a thief from severing the yoke and gaining access to the spare tire and rim. In a use position, the yoke extends through the primary opening in the rim and a fastener extends through a hole in the securing element and a secondary opening in the rim to connect the securing element to the rim, whereby the yoke is enclosed between the rim and the securing element.

Abstract: A stabilising and release system, for an agricultural apparatus (1) having a mounting portion (2) for mounting the apparatus (1) to a tractor, a pendulum (10) mounted on the mounting portion (2), and a boom (26) for spraying or cutting, which is pivotally mounted to the pendulum (10) at a pivot point so as to allow pivoting of the boom (26) relative to the pendulum (10). The system stabilises the boom (26) against movement imparted to it by disruptive forces which disturb the natural position of the boom (26) by proving a rigid damper (60) arranged between the support frame and the boom (26) and arranged to damp relative movement of the boom (26) and the mounting frame caused by said disruptive forces, the damper (60) has an articulated coupling (61, 62) which allows the damper (60) to articulate so that the damper (60) can follow the motion of the boom (26) thus damping any undesired swaying action caused by bumps and ruts over which the tractor passes.

Abstract: Methods and devices for blocking orifices and occluding cavities within a patient are provided. The device in one variation comprises first and second tubular members attached to a collapsible sealing element. The device can be placed through an orifice and the collapsible sealing element can be collapsed to seal the orifice. An embolic may be introduced distal to the sealing element to occlude a cavity. The device may incorporate a locking mechanism which can be engaged to lock the sealing element into the collapsed position. The device may incorporate a valve to prevent flow through the tubular members, for example to prevent egress of the embolic from a cavity. The device can be detached to provide a permanent seal of the orifice, and can retain the embolic within the cavity. The device may be used in conjunction with a stent or other retention device to assist the sealing element in maintaining the seal.

Abstract: This invention provides therapeutic and diagnostic agent delivery vehicles, including viral vectors, that are complexed to a targeting moiety by coordinate covalent linkages mediated by a transition metal ion. The complex is typically formed with a transition metal ion that is in a kinetically labile oxidation state; after the complex is formed, the oxidation state of the transition metal ion is changed to one that renders the complex kinetically stable. The use of a coordinate covalent linkage to attach the targeting moiety to the delivery vehicle provides advantages such as the ability to readily attach a different targeting moiety to a delivery vehicle without modifying the delivery vehicle itself. This flexibility is achieved without sacrificing stability of the complex.

Abstract: An agricultural apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus is adapted to be mounted to an agricultural machine such as a tractor and is provided with a boom having two arms extending in a direction substantially transverse to the agricultural machine. The boom arm are provided with a plurality of heads, adapted for either cutting or spraying, and can be used to cut or spray discrete areas of vegetation over which the apparatus passes. The apparatus is adapted to maintain the arms in a direction substantially parallel to the vegetation over which it is passing irrespective of the terrain.

Upon receiving a signal indicating that a key on the keyboard has been pressed and/or released, the system generates a masking signal, and then outputs the masking signal to one or more audio transducers located in proximity to the keyboard, thereby masking acoustic emanations caused by the key being pressed and/or released.

Abstract: Acrolein is removed from a process stream such as a process stream generated in the manufacture of acrylonitrile. The process includes reacting the acrolein with a compound containing a reactable thiol or hydroxyl moiety in the presence of an acid catalyst. The present process provides for a refined process stream that contains no more than 5 ppm by weight unreacted acrolein.

The device further includes feedback circuitry electrically coupled to the conductive circuitry. This feedback circuitry suitable for converting the electrical charge into a drive signal. The device further includes feedback driven by the drive signal. This feedback suitable for providing feedback directly indicative of the outside stimulus.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to dispensing system configured for dispensing a food product. The invention also relates to a peristaltic pump that has a pumping member configured to move along a path through a pumping position and a loading position. The pump also includes a motor in drivable association with the pumping member to move the pumping member along the path and a backing member having a surface configured to cooperate with the pumping member to pinch a conduit therebetween when the pumping member engages the conduit to establish peristaltic association in the pumping position to peristaltically pump a fluid therethrough. When the pumping member is in the loading position, the pumping member is disposed to allow the conduit to be received in and removed from a pumping space. The present invention also relates to a method for dispensing a food product using a peristaltic pump.
