  • Patent number: 4574399
Abstract: A primer valve for sewer line drain traps is adapted for use in conjunction with a flushing toilet or like installation including a tank containing water of fluctuating level. The primer valve comprises a pipe penetrating the lower portion of the tank and providing a port at its inner end. A conduit connects the outer end of the pipe to the trap. A float-operated valve is associated with the port and operative to discharge small amounts of water through the valve with changes in level of the water in the tank.

  • Patent number: 4429568
Abstract: A closure plug assembly for the pressure testing of liquid drain and vent plumbing systems including a T or Y test section with a test opening comprises a cap sub-assembly, sealing means for releasably securing the cap sub-assembly across the test opening, and a plug such as an inflatable bulb or plate removably insertable in the plumbing system adjacent the test opening for test-damming the flow of liquid upstream therefrom. Link means is connected to the plug for removing the same at the conclusion of the test operation. A valved port in the cap is used for filling the plumbing system with test liquid under pressure during a testing operation.

  • Patent number: 4204556
Abstract: A primer valve for sewer line drain traps comprises a case having an upper water inlet communicating with the pressurized house line and a lower water outlet communicating with the trap. The hollow interior of the case is divided into a lower valved dispensing chamber which dispenses water into the trap; an intermediate supply chamber which supplies water to the primer valve system, and an upper trapped-air chamber. The latter actuates the valve in the dispensing chamber and dispenses water to the trap each time the pressure in the house line drops.

  • Patent number: 4143996
Abstract: A hydraulic control system incorporating a variable displacement, pressure compensated hydraulic pump and means for varying the speed of the input shaft driving the variable displacement pump in proportion to the displacement of the pump.

  • Patent number: 4061216
Abstract: This apparatus for coupling and decoupling driving and driven elements includes an overrunning clutch mechanism having complemental parts with members on one part movable in a plane extending radially to the axis of rotation of the parts to engage the members with the second part for effecting a driving connection between the parts, one of the parts being selectively movable axially relative to the elements to interrupt and reestablish the radial registration of the members with the second part, the elements being coupled when registration is established and decoupled when registration is interrupted.
