  • Patent number: 4796774
Abstract: A resealable cover for snap-fitting on a container comprising the combination of a resilient disk member with a downwardly extending lip integrally formed on the circumference thereof, and a spout integrally formed on an upper surface thereof said spout extending beyond the circumferential surface of the container when the cover is snap-fit thereon, and a spout cover pivotally mounted to the spout and sealable therewith. By snap-fitting the sealable cover to the top of an open container, for example, a beverage container, a sanitary means is formed for drinking therefrom. Alternatively, the spout may be used to pour the contents of the container. The container may then be resealed by sealing the spout cover to the spout to prevent, for example, escape of carbonation from the beverage contained in the container.

  • Patent number: 4773623
Abstract: A retractable holder for an article includes first and second housing members. The first housing member has a first wall and a generally perpendicular peripheral side wall. The second housing member has a second wall generally parallel to the first wall which is engageable with the first housing member to define a hollow inner compartment. A holder is rotatably enclosed within the housing. The holder has a peripheral side wall spaced inwardly from the peripheral side wall of the first housing member. The holder retains a spring to bias the holder in a rotational direction. An attachment member is coiled around the peripheral side wall of the holder and extends externally from the housing for attachment to an article. A locking member engages with the holder to retain the holder against rotational movement after the attachment member has been dispensed to a desired finite length. A clip can be attached to the exterior of the housing for storage of the article when not in use.
