  • Patent number: 6912739
Abstract: A safety inlet drain assembly for main and skimmer drains of a swimming pool includes a perforated cylinder in the drain cavity mounted at a lower end on the drain return line and having a domed cap on the upper end to which the drain gate cover is attached by fasteners. The safety drain assembly is configured for precluding complete blockage by pool users in the event of displacement of the cover plate thereby preventing excessive suction conditions otherwise posing physical danger to the users.

  • Publication number: 20050099054
Abstract: An inflatable article of furniture (100) includes at least two inflatable mattresses (1, 2), a hinge (5), and at least one tube (3, 4) positioned external to the hinge. The hinge connects the two mattresses together and is adapted to permit rotation of at least one of the inflatable mattresses relative to the other. The tube(s) permits passage of an inflating substance between the first inflatable mattress and the second inflatable mattress such that both mattresses may be rapidly inflated in a single step upon introducing an inflating substance into one of the mattresses. The article of furniture may optionally include a backrest (8) and one or more armrests (9, 10) that are fixedly connected to one of the mattresses and integrally connected together to facilitate use of the article of furniture in several different configurations.

  • Patent number: 4646371
Abstract: A knockdown type of bed frame constructed predominantly from plastic components. The bed frame includes a pair of parallel side-tube members and a pair of cross-tube members. The end positions of the side-tube members and the cross-tube members are received in corresponding sockets formed in floor engaging leg members. Means are provided for retaining the side-tube members and the cross-tube members within the sockets formed in the leg members. The leg members are formed with substantially horizontal surfaces for receipt of mattress means thereon. The leg members are provided with floor engaging means. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention the floor engaging means is a caster wheel assembly incorporating a brake mechanism for applying a braking action to a caster wheel upon application of a predetermined downward force thereto.

  • Patent number: 4224704
Abstract: An adjustable and foldable bed frame includes a pair of side rails and a pair of end rails extending transversely between the side rails. Each end rail includes a pair of elongated elements, with each of the elements having one end secured to a corresponding side rail and the other end of each element is in slidable relationship to the other element. The elements are releasably locked together by means of a protrusion on one element which is receivable in an opening in the other element. The opening defines a plurality of teeth, and the element with the protrusion has a spring loaded pawl member which is received in the opening and engages the teeth one at a time and permits the elements to be moved inwardly toward one another, while engagement between the pawl and the teeth prevents the elements from moving outwardly relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 4078270
Abstract: A pair of improved adjustable cross-frame members are incorporated with a pair of side frame members to form a bed frame readily adjustable to a wide variety of widths. Each improved cross-frame member has a first and second elongated elements, each of which is pivotably connected to respective side members in a standard manner. The first element is provided with a pawl mounted near its free end and the second element is provided with a plurality of teeth. The teeth are shaped to allow for easy movement when the side frame members are moved toward each other and to allow for resistance when the side frame members are being pulled apart from each other.
