  • Publication number: 20200245548
Abstract: Embodiments of a harvesting machine configured to uproot hemp plants and process various cut portions of the plants. The harvesting machine includes a harvesting head removably coupled to a main body of the harvesting machine. The harvesting head includes a roller positioned adjacent a lower front end of the harvesting head, the roller having tines extending therefrom and the roller configured to rotate so that the tines loosen soil and lift roots of the plants from the soil. The harvesting machine includes at least one belt positioned adjacently rearward of the roller and is configured to move the uprooted plants from the tines and to move the uprooted plants rearward from the harvesting head. Further, the harvesting head includes a cutting system positioned adjacent the at least one belt and is configured to make at least two cuts along a length of the plant to form the cut portions.

  • Patent number: 7618350
Abstract: An elliptical exercise machine with adjustable ramp is provided and comprises a frame, first and second reciprocating foot supports, each foot support having a foot placement pad, first and second swing arms being pivotally connected to an upright support structure, first and second link arms being connected to a respective swing arm and a second end of each link arm being interconnected to a second end of a respective reciprocating foot support, a drive assembly positioned on the upright support structure, wherein a first end of each reciprocating foot support is movably linked to the drive assembly, and a ramp assembly adjustably linked to the frame by an adjustment mechanism coupled to the frame and the ramp assembly, the adjustment mechanism being configured to adjust the position of the ramp assembly and to thereby adjust stride movements of the respective foot placement pads.

  • Patent number: 7587171
Abstract: Methods of reducing interference in wireless communications in a communications system are provided. A wireless communications signal is received within a frequency band. The wireless communications signal includes a desired component and an undesired interference component. The interference component may be caused by, for example, communications by another component of the communications system using frequencies in the frequency band. The received communications signal is converted to a frequency domain representation. Frequencies of the interference component of the frequency domain signal are identified. At least some of the identified frequencies of the interference component of the frequency domain signal are attenuated to generate an interference attenuated frequency domain signal. The interference attenuated frequency domain signal is converted to an interference attenuated time domain signal.

  • Publication number: 20030015596
Abstract: Apparatus for mixing together two fluid streams comprises a first fluid conduit for carrying a first fluid stream between an inlet and an outlet, a venturi being provided in said first fluid conduit between said inlet and said outlet. The venturi comprises an upstream tapering portion which converges towards a reduced diameter throat and a downstream diffusing portion which diverges from the throat towards the outlet. The tapering portion, throat and diffusing portion are defined around a central axis. At least one mixing inlet having a discrete opening communicating with the throat of the venturi is provided for introducing a second fluid stream into the first fluid stream so that the two fluid streams mix as they flow through the venturi diffuser portion towards the outlet.

  • Publication number: 20020077221
Abstract: This particular invention includes an exercise system having (i) an upstanding support member; (ii) an exercise mechanism coupled to the upstanding support member, wherein the exercise mechanism is configured to support a user above a support surface; (ii) a base configured to be mounted on the support surface; and (iii) a movable coupler movably coupling the upstanding support member to the base, the movable coupler allowing movement of the upstanding member while allowing the base to remain stable on the support surface. One example of the exercise mechanism is a stationary exercise cycle that can move laterally in a side-to-side motion to generate a natural bicycle movement. This lateral movement exercise cycle can be a component of a virtual exercise system that employs additional visual display and media components.
