  • Publication number: 20200345399
Abstract: A modular system is provided for assembling a structure to secure to opposite sides of a fracture in a bone of a subject. The modular system includes a plate with a perimeter including a plurality of openings. The perimeter defines an interior area within the plate. The modular system also includes a link with one or more openings along a linear axis defining the link. The one or more openings of the link include a connector to receive a fastener to be secured in the bone. The plurality of openings of the plate includes a first opening with an inner diameter configured to removably receive an outer diameter of the connector of the link so that the link is rotatably received within the first opening. A method is also provided for assembling the structure using the modular system and securing the assembled structure to opposite sides of the bone fracture.

  • Patent number: 7614866
Abstract: A solid imaging apparatus is provided that includes a replaceable cartridge containing a source of build material and an extendable and retractable flexible transport film for transporting the build material layer-by-layer from the cartridge to the surface of a build in an image plane. An operator using the device needs merely to remove a spent cartridge and replace it with a fresh cartridge to continue solid imaging virtually uninterrupted. The apparatus also includes the capability of withdrawing and inserting an imager without the operator having to perform a separate alignment step. A brush attached to the transport film and forming part of the cartridge provides for intra-layer removal of excess uncured build material. If desired, the apparatus can produce a fully reacted build. A high intensity UV source cures the build between layers. An injection molded build pad is designed to hold a build in an inverted position for improving the build.

  • Publication number: 20080309665
Abstract: A three-dimensional modeler for rapid prototyping three-dimensional modeler is registered with a global server in a network. The three-dimensional modeler receives, via a network interface, a build including information for use in generating a physical representation of a three-dimensional model. A queuing mechanism is used to determine the order in which builds are processed by a three-dimensional modeler. Processing of the build includes instructing hardware of the three-dimensional modeler to create the physical representation of the three-dimensional model. The network interface of the three-dimensional modeler may include a web server. The network interface may also be used to send diagnostics and receive feedback such as calibration data based on the diagnostics. The network interface may also be used to receive software code or data upgrades. The network interface may also be used to order supplies for the three-dimensional modeler.
