  • Publication number: 20240135641
Abstract: A survey instrument comprising a single point and a point cloud measuring functionality, a communication interface, and a computing unit. The point cloud measuring functionality configured to emit a scanning beam along a first measuring axis and to advance the first measuring axis along a scanning pattern. The point cloud measuring functionality is configured to generate point cloud data representing a setting. The single point measuring functionality is configured to emit a measuring beam along a second measuring axis. The first measuring axis is referenced to the second measuring axis. The communication interface is configured to receive model data representing at least a part of the setting and comprising referencing data to an external coordinate system. The computing unit is configured to identify cardinal features in the point cloud data as well as in the model data.

  • Patent number: 5224020
Abstract: Modular electrical apparatus is provided which comprises a plurality of customer removable electrical devices 22 inserted in one end of a drawer type tubular chassis 10 and various field replaceable support units 44,46 mounted at the other end of the chassis. The devices and support units are all blind pluggable into a removable central electrical distribution unit which includes complementary connectors 52,54,56 on opposite sides and a set of electrical conductors for connecting the devices and units. Internal electrical connection of all the units in the drawer is via the electrical distribution unit and external electrical connection is made only to the outer end of the support units. Cooling fans for inducing an air flow through the tubular chassis to cool the devices and support units are mounted in the central electrical distribution unit. All the components can be removed for repair or replacement from either the front or rear entrance of the tubular chassis.

  • Patent number: 4062614
Abstract: An insulation piercing slotted beam connector includes a central base portion which is bifurcated at one end. Each of the furcations has a chisel-like cutting edge at its tip which enables the terminal to pierce through insulation covering a conductor so that the insulation remains intact along an outer edge. The base portion also includes provision whereby the bifurcated end can advantageously laterally yaw upon engagement with the insulation covered conductor to properly align the terminal with an offset conductor for a gastight connection.
