  • Publication number: 20180121888
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for reducing the time to estimate and repair a vehicle damaged in a collision. The system comprises a computer network where at least one component of the network is a portable computing device installed with software for speech activated data entry whereby an outside adjuster makes the estimate by speaking into the device. The method combines speech activated data entry with an iterative and incremental process resulting in real-time comparison of a first estimate to actual repair data for same or similar vehicles suffering same or similar damage under same or similar circumstances. The actual repair data, in the form of the parts and labor hours for the repair, provides a benchmark against which the outside adjuster can compare the first estimate and make an immediate update in the form of a final estimate. The resulting accuracy of the final estimate shortens the time for repair by reducing, or even eliminating, the need for supplemental estimates.

  • Publication number: 20070125736
Abstract: An apparatus for holding various objects. The apparatus comprises a plurality of horizontally disposed individual shelf members and a plurality of vertically disposed post members located substantially at each corner of the plurality of horizontally disposed individual shelf members for engagement thereto. There is provided a fastening means engageable with post members and with the individual shelf members for securing the shelf members to the post members. There is also a drop leaf shelf member. The drop leaf shelf member is hingedly attached to one of a top portion of a radially opposed pair of the post members and to an underside of a top shelf closely adjacent one end thereof. There is at least one support member hingedly engageable with a bottom surface of the drop leaf shelf member and with at least one of a second shelf horizontally disposed at a predetermined distance below the top shelf and a bracket member disposed below and closely adjacent the second shelf and between the pair of post members.

  • Publication number: 20070125737
Abstract: An apparatus for storing and displaying various objects such as books, plants, decorative items and the like. The apparatus comprises a plurality of horizontally disposed individual shelf members and a plurality of vertically disposed post members disposed at each corner of the plurality of horizontally disposed individual shelf members for engagement with the horizontally disposed individual shelf members. There is a brace member engageable with the plurality of vertically disposed post members for supporting the plurality of horizontally disposed individual shelf members and a securing means such as screws and bolts that are engageable with the plurality of vertically disposed post members and with the brace member for securing the brace member to the plurality of vertically disposed post members.

  • Publication number: 20070126323
Abstract: An apparatus for providing a work site and for storing and displaying various objects. The apparatus comprises a plurality of horizontally disposed individual shelf members and a pair of vertically disposed side members disposed at each end of the plurality of individual shelf members for engagement with the individual shelf members. There is a means engageable with the pair of side members and with the individual shelf members for securing the pair of side members to the plurality of individual shelf members. The apparatus also has a drop leaf hingedly engageable with one of a preselected individual shelf member and one of the side members for providing additional work area and for closing an opening formed between the pair of side members and a first preselected pair of shelf members. There is a drawer having a front member, a back member, a bottom member and a pair of side members for occupying an opening provided between the pair of side members and a second preselected pair of shelf members.

  • Publication number: 20040157229
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of analysing gene expression, metabolite or protein levels, the use of such methods to generate distinctive profiles of a cell, and the use of such profiles in the diagnosis of disease and mode of action of novel compounds used in the treatment of a cell. These simplified methods of obtaining molecular profiles of a cell have the advantage that they allow the skilled man to produce a profile of the levels of a chosen class of molecules in a cell, which may be used to distinguish between different treatments or different cellular states, whilst being produced from fewer data than are typically used in the production of existing profiles.

  • Patent number: 4492591
Abstract: Hydrogen is recovered from a feed comprising methane, ethylene, hydrogen and acetylene by first cooling the feed and then scrubbing the cooled feed with a scrubbing liquid selected from the group consisting of liquid ethylene, liquid propane, liquid ethane and mixtures thereof to remove substantially all the acetylene. The scrubbed gas is then further cooled to condense the methane and ethylene leaving gaseous hydrogen as product.
