    Abstract: A sound absorbing structure for use in gas turbine engines is disclosed. Various construction details are developed for mounting the liner of the structure to enable the damping of acoustically caused vibrations and to isolate panels of the liner from mechanically caused vibrations. A viscoelastic material suspends the sound absorbing panels of the liner from the case.
