    Abstract: An insecticidal bait comprises about 55.5% to about 75.5% by weight of a ground cereal grain; from about 20% to about 40% by weight of powdered boric acid, from about 1% to about 5% by weight of an edible oil from the class consisting of corn oil and soy oil, and from about 1% to about 5% by weight of silica gel. From about 0.05% to about 0.2% of a non-white coloring agent may also be added.
