Patent number: 10779481Abstract: A tree anchoring apparatus, a tree anchoring kit and a method of anchoring of a tree on a roof deck is provided consisting of three tree cabling systems attached to a tree. Each tree cabling system can exist in one of two states, depending on whether there is slack in the system or whether there is resistance due to movement of the tree from a vertical position to a horizontal position. In a wind event that causes the tree to move from a vertical position to a horizontal position, one or more of the tree cabling systems will experience resistance that keeps the tree in a horizontal position. When the wind event is over, the tree can be returned to a vertical position.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2018Date of Patent: September 22, 2020Assignee: The Shredded Tire, Inc.Inventors: Richard P. Spreen, Stephen W. Warter

Publication number: 20200032512Abstract: Environmentally responsible insulating construction blocks and structures constructed primarily of recycled materials are disclosed. The environmentally friendly construction blocks and structures comprise shredded rubber tire pieces coated with silica fume, slag cement and cement, which are then mixed with water and formed in a mold. A layer of grout or a fireproof material may be disposed on one side of the environmentally responsible insulating construction block. The environmentally responsible insulating construction blocks can be used in place of wood blocking for roof assembly applications such as installation of a drip edge or wall coping; or in expansion joints. The environmentally responsible insulating construction blocks provide high insulation as well as strength for applications such as green roofing, wall construction and green roofing decks.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2019Publication date: January 30, 2020Applicant: The Shredded Tire, Inc.Inventor: Richard P. Spreen

The environmentally responsible insulating construction blocks provide high insulation as well as strength for applications such as green roofing, wall construction and green roofing decks. Environmentally friendly structures can be built by pouring the coated shredded rubber tire pieces into molds to form walls, and then to pour a layer of the coated shredded rubber tire pieces as a roof deck, thereby creating a self-supporting structure in a monolithic pour.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2018Date of Patent: October 8, 2019Assignee: The Shredded Tire, Inc.Inventor: Richard P.
