    Abstract: Portable coagulation monitoring devices, systems, and methods are disclosed. Namely, a test cartridge is provided for use in a portable coagulation monitor (PCM) device. Further, the test cartridge comprises two glass-filled thermoplastic polymer plates and a disposable blood introduction device. The two glass-filled thermoplastic polymer plates are arranged substantially in parallel with a small gap therebetween for receiving a sample of blood to be tested. Using the PCM device, the two glass-filled thermoplastic polymer plates can be moved linearly relative to each other. Methods of measuring coagulation response in a blood sample using the test cartridge and the PCM device are provided. A method of introducing blood into the test cartridge using the disposable blood introduction device is provided.

A second sensor is a traditional acoustic sensor or a novel acoustic sensor using a piezoelectric sensor mounted with a thin film separation layer of flexible microspheres on a rigid substrate. Additional non-acoustic sensors are optionally mounted on the rigid substrate for generation of output used to reduce noise observed by the acoustic sensors. Combinations of acoustic, non-acoustic, and motion sensors co-located in rigid streamer housing sections are provided.

The axles are connected at each of the opposite ends by at least one of the resistance bands so that the apparatus operates in a rolling extending and collapsing motion within an elastic region. A pedal assembly is axially connected to the second axle. The pedal/foot supporting assembly is capable of supporting and securing both feet of the person so that the person is capable of exerting stress when griping the first axle with the person's hands and pushing against the second axle with the person's feet while exercising in a substantially prone position.

The upper assembly also includes a hanger (21) coupled to the mounting plate and having a stepped ball holding flange (23) with a beveled interior facing surface (24). The lower hanging assembly includes a downrod (29) coupled to a ball joint (31) and a canopy (32). The ball joint is configured to be received within the hanger ball holding flange and has a series of deformable ridges (33). The canopy includes a central opening defined by a central, stepped flange (35) adapted to receive and nest flushly against the exterior of the hanger ball holding flange. The canopy stepped flange fits flushly against the exterior of the hanger ball holding flange so as to encircle the C-shaped holding flange.

Screws (85) allow limited pivotal movement of the blade irons (83) relative to the motor bottom plate. Each blade iron is coupled to a blade (86) by three mounting screws (87). Each blade includes a first round mounting hole (88) adjacent the motor and two, elongated, arcuate mounting holes (89) distal the motor. Again, the screws allow for limited pivotal movement between the blade and its associated blade iron.

The rotating drill point forms pilot holes in workpieces, and the rotating cutting teeth enlarge the pilot holes to form holes for receipt of a cylindrical portion of the lead rivet body.

    Abstract: A resuscitator with a rigid top plate, a rigid bottom plate and a rigid bottom plenum assembly. The top plate is hingeldy joined at its forward end to the bottom plate. A flexible accordion member is located between the top plate and the bottom assembly forming a standard air pump. When a person pushes down on the top plate, air is forced out of and outflow tube located on the top plate. An internal spring returns the top plate to its original position and in doing so causes air to be drawn into the plenum assembly. A top plate travel limiting member, such as a cord, includes a plurality of spaced protuberances that act as restraining members that can be retained under a slot in the side of the plenum assembly thereby adjusting the travel distance of the accordion member and controlling the resulting volume of air output to a patient being resuscitated.
