Abstract: A pre-paid debit or credit card account, and an associated pre-paid debit or credit card, is provided to a consumer for use with one or more check conversion stations. The check conversion stations include a card reader for obtaining user account data associated with the consumer's pre-paid debit or credit card account from the pre-paid debit or credit card and a paper check scanner for obtaining check data from a paper check provided by the consumer. At least part of the user account data and the check data is then subjected to analysis, verification, and/or approval of a transfer of at least part of the funds indicated by the check data to the balance of the pre-paid debit or credit card.

Abstract: Refund issuing stations that can be accessed by users/taxpayers include a user interface for obtaining user ID data associated with users/taxpayers and a card/cash dispenser for providing the users/taxpayers with a prepaid tax refund debit or credit card, or currency, based on user tax and/or refund data provided by a financial management system used to prepare user's tax returns and tax related documents, and/or file the user's tax returns.

Abstract: Systems, methods and articles for online computerized methods and systems for facilitating a loan between a borrower and a lender in a financial services system having a loan processing application integrated with a tax return preparation application, in which a lender's tax refund is used to fund the loan. Tax returns are prepared for borrowers and for lenders using the tax return preparation application. The borrowers submits loan request to the system. The system asks lenders having a tax refund if they would like to loan the tax refund to other people and the system presents loan options to the lenders. If a lender likes a loan request, the lender instructs the system to enter into a loan for the request for a specified amount on agreed to loan terms, and the loan amount is then transferred to the borrower, funded by the tax refund.

Abstract: A method and system for providing relative financial position data whereby actual financial data, such as, but not limited to, overall financial position data, income and asset data, expense data, and transactional data, and/or demographic data for various individuals is obtained from one or more sources. A given individual's actual financial transaction data is then compared with other individuals that are determined to be similarly situated with the given individual. The given individual is then provided one or more graphical displays and/or data displays showing a comparison between the given individual's own financial data and/or position and the average financial data and/or position of similarly situated individuals.
