Publication number: 20220380403Abstract: Photon generating substrates for light-directed oligonucleotide synthesis are disclosed. Light is generated within a solid-state stack that supports growing oligonucleotides. The light may be generated by microLEDs, a pass-through liquid crystal panel, or an LCoS system. Light passes through a transmissive layer on which growing oligonucleotides are attached. Patterning of the light is controlled by selective activation of the microLEDs or by selective control of the transparency of a liquid crystal layer. Photolabile blocking groups are selectively removed by exposure to patterned light emitted from the photon generating substrate.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 26, 2021Publication date: December 1, 2022Inventors: Bichlien Hoang Nguyen, Karin Strauss, Jake Allen Smith, Richard Prescott Rouse, Douglas Mitchell Carmean, Matthew David Turner, Gagan Gupta

Publication number: 20220360342Abstract: A circuit configured to transmit frequency multiplexed signals from a superconducting domain to a higher temperature domain. The circuit comprising a multiplexed signal output and a plurality of superconducting oscillator circuits each configured to output a different carrier frequency, each superconducting oscillator circuit comprising an oscillator output connected to the multiplexed signal output. Each superconducting oscillator circuit comprising a converter stage configured to convert an input of a superconducting logic signal to a Single Flux Quantum (SFQ) bit value, a splitter stage electrically connected to an output of the converter stage, the splitter stage configured to change between a first current state and a second current state based at least in part on the SFQ bit value, and an oscillator stage magnetically coupled to an output of the splitter stage and electrically coupled to the oscillator output.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2021Publication date: November 10, 2022Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Derek Leslie KNEE, John Murray HORNIBROOK, Ian Douglas CONWAY LAMB, Richard Prescott ROUSE, David John REILLY

Patent number: 9129019Abstract: This invention relates to an advertisement machine which provides advertisements to a user searching for desired information within a data network. The machine receives, from a user, a search request including a search argument corresponding to the desired information and searches, based upon the received search argument, a first database having data network related information to generate search results. It also correlates the received search argument to a particular advertisement in a second database having advertisement related information. The search results together with the particular advertisement are provided by the machine to the user.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2012Date of Patent: September 8, 2015Assignee: RPX CLEARINGHOUSE LLCInventors: Richard Prescott Skillen, Frederick Caldwell Livermore
