  • Patent number: 5947170
Abstract: Process and apparatus for providing a HEPA air shower to the critical fill zone of the liquid filling operation for preventing entry of particulate, non-viable and viable particulate, into the critical filling zone by providing opposed flows of pressurized HEPA air to the critical filling zone to provide the HEPA air shower.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 10, 1998
Date of Patent: September 7, 1999
    Assignee: Vital Signs Inc.
Inventors: Richard Q. Poynter, Jeffrey L. Price, Michael J. Schoenewolff, Michael C. Derby
  • Patent number: 5887768
Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing liquid through a plurality of tubes. A valve is provided to interrupt flow of the liquid to the plurality of tubes which tubes thereafter retain any undispensed liquid contained therein due to capillarity caused by surface tension between any retained liquid and the internal walls of the plurality of tubes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 27, 1998
Date of Patent: March 30, 1999
Inventors: Jeffrey L. Price, Richard Q. Poynter
  • Patent number: 5509906
Abstract: A plungerless syringe which comprises a collapsible body having a sealed dispensing tip at one end and an actuating tab at the other end. The collapsible body is characterized by a plurality of rings concentrically arrayed on the surface of the body wall. When the actuating tab is depressed the body commences to collapse and a first ring is received within and frictionally engages a second succeeding ring and remains secured thereto.

  • Patent number: 5356052
Abstract: A drop dispenser for accurate dispensing of drops of a predetermined size. The dispenser comprises a container joined to a tip by a neck. The liquid from the container is forced into a flat flow passage in the neck and discharged into a chamber in the tip where the liquid coalesces. The liquid is then dispensed through an aperture which controls the size of the drop dispensed. The size of the aperture is independent of the pressure applied to the bottle. The flat flow passage prevents the flow of liquid therethrough at such a rate such that the liquid could be dispensed as a stream and not at the desired drop size.
