  • Patent number: 10930148
Abstract: A method reminds a driver of a motor vehicle about an approach to a light signal apparatus. The method detects a plurality of light signal apparatuses, selects from the plurality of light signal apparatuses in order to select that one which is relevant to a direction of travel of the motor vehicle to determine an assignment of the detected light signal to the motor vehicle, and determines whether the detected light signal from the selected light signal apparatus is a stop light signal. The method generates a stop signal if a stop light signal is detected when the motor vehicle is at a standstill.

Date of Patent: February 23, 2021
    Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 10341198
Abstract: A device can receive a request to deploy a container to provide a service. The request can include information identifying a set of parameters associated with the container. The device can validate the request using the information identifying the set of parameters. The device can deploy the container on a back-end host. The back-end host can lack connectivity to an external network. The device can receive a first indication that the container was successfully deployed on the back-end host. The device can deploy a proxy container on a front-end host. The front-end host can have connectivity to the external network. The device can receive a second indication that the proxy container was successfully deployed on the front-end host. The device can provide a third indication. • Patent number: 10015278
Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium to receive a job request to schedule an execution of a process in a networked environment; generate a schedule for the execution of the process based on one or more current schedules directed to concurrent execution of one or more other processes; obtain resource utilization data indicating resource usage stemming from the concurrent execution of the process and the one or more other processes; analyze the resource utilization data; determine whether a resource inefficiency occurred during the concurrent execution based on an analysis of the resource utilization data; generate resource inefficiency data in response to a determination that the resource inefficiency occurred; and generate an adapted schedule for at least one of the process or the one or more other processes in response to a determination that the resource inefficiency occurred.

  • Patent number: 9326242
Abstract: A device may request location information for a location reference device (LRD); receive, based on the request, the location information for the LRD via a cellular network connection; transmit, via the cellular network, an instruction to direct the LRD to activate a non-cellular radio on the LRD; receive wireless signals outputted via the non-cellular radio; determine a distance between the user device and the LRD based on a strength of the wireless signals received by the user device; and audibly or visually indicate, by the user device, the determined distance between the user device and the LRD.

  • Patent number: 7280499
Abstract: The invention relates in general to systems for digital transmission, for example digital mobile radio systems such as the UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) and in particular to the receiving-end estimation of parameters which are required for retrieving the data. An object of the invention resides, in particular, in indicating an efficient way which, particularly in the case of CDMA systems with power control, ensures estimates of higher quality than with methods of the prior art, and simultaneously largely avoids a substantial increase in the complexity of system implementation. For this purpose, the invention proposes a method for improving the reception of a CDMA receiver based on a parameter estimation method, as well as a correspondingly adapted CDMA receiver, in which the estimates are produced by processing received values (yi[k]) provided with correction factors (s), the correction factors (s) serving to equalize different power levels of the received signal.

  • Publication number: 20020191578
Abstract: The invention relates to the reception of signals encoded according to the 3GPP CDMA standard. An object of the invention is to provide an improved mechanism for increasing the quality of channel estimation for CDMA-systems, especially for systems following the 3GPP standard, by simultaneously ensuring a low complexity. According to the invention, a method and a receiver for reception of signals encoded according to the 3GPP wideband CDMA standard is proposed both of which using coded control symbols (TFCI) as additional pilot symbols (Pilot).
