  • Patent number: 8416266
Abstract: A method for generating a presentation of a region-of-interest in an original image for display on a display surface, the method comprising: establishing a lens for the region-of-interest, the lens having a focal region with a magnification for the region-of-interest at least partially surrounded by a shoulder region across which the magnification varies to provide a continuous transition from the focal region to regions outside the lens; receiving a first signal for selecting the shoulder region; while receiving the first signal, receiving a second signal for selecting the focal region and for adjusting a position of the focal region relative to the shoulder region to define a degree and a direction of a folding of the focal region over the shoulder region for the lens; and, applying the lens to the original image to produce the presentation.

  • Publication number: 20090024942
Abstract: A web-based data analysis and document review system is operable to provide a graphical user interface that allows a user to select print options for a group of documents stored by the system. The print options include different print formats each of which offers the user a respective set of features which can be selected for printing the particular group of documents as part of a batch print job.

  • Publication number: 20090019048
Abstract: A lock manager is provided for locking documents. In some implementations, the lock manger initiates a first lock on a document that prevents other users from editing the document while it is being displayed to the user. If edits to the document are made by the user, the edits are placed in a queue for subsequent finalization, and a second lock is placed on the document. The second lock prevents other users from editing the document until the edits have been finalized.

  • Publication number: 20090019379
Abstract: A web-based data analysis and document review system is operable to provide a graphical user interface that allows a user to make and save redactions within a selected document set, apply the redactions to other document sets, clear redactions on a particular page of a document, and clear all redactions within the document.

  • Patent number: 4949206
Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a read/write head at a selected one of a plurality of substantially circular, concrete data tracks and for absorbing the rebound shock of a rotary actuator, the apparatus including a head actuator assembly having at least one read/write head mounted thereon, an actuator housing, and a stationary coil coupled to the head actuator. At least one permanent magnet is fixedly mounted relative to the head actuator. Upper and lower magnetic plates support the permanent magnet and each has at least two cavities which are substantially aligned with, but displaced off-axis from, the cavities of the other plate. At least two crash stops are provided, one to limit pivoting movement of the head actuator at the inner diameter of the hard disk and the other to limit movement of the head actuator at the outer disk diameter.

  • Patent number: 4826882
Abstract: Improved, flexible, open celled polyurethane foams are described. The foams are formed in situ from the reaction of a polyisocyanate, a conventional polyester polyol, a polyether polyol, a high hydroxyl polyester polyol and a blowing agent in the presence of a catalyst. A polyether foam stabilizer is normally also included. A small amount of a destabilizing silicone ingredient can also be included. Useful high hydroxyl number polyester polyols have hydroxyl numbers in the range 300-600, and preferably 400-450. The average equivalent weight of the useful high hydroxyl number polyester polyol is normally in the range 100-200. The compositions of the invention are useful as filter media and are especially suitable for outdoor seating applications.
