Publication number: 20240122624Abstract: An external fixation system for treatment of bones includes first and second clamps for locking pins that are inserted into bones. At least one clamp includes a socket having a recess. An attachment post includes a distal portion configured to be inserted into the socket recess. A tightening nut is rotationally coupled to a shaft of the attachment post and has an internal threading adapted to be threaded to the external threading of the socket. When the tightening nut is rotated to cause the distal portion of the post to be further inserted into the recess, the sides of the distal portion of the post create an interference fit with the sides of the socket recess to lock the post to the first clamp.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 14, 2022Publication date: April 18, 2024Inventors: Jesse Rush, Justin Vent, Peter Evans, David E. Patent number: 11199322Abstract: A thimble shaped burner is made of a porous foam metal material and is adapted to be mounted on the interior of a plenum chamber receiving a fuel/air mixture under pressure. The fuel/air mixture infuses into the interior of the thimble shaped burner body and exits from it through a burner port in a support structure where the fuel/air mixture that has been infused through the burner body is ignited. The burners are typically used in multiples and are mounted by means conventional fasteners passing through reinforced mounting flanges on the interior of an air fuel plenum chamber. Flame lift off is reduced or eliminated by particular configurations and dimensions of annular metal washers that are used in association with the burner bodies for mounting purposes.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2019Date of Patent: December 14, 2021Assignee: Solaronics, Inc.Inventors: Richard Rush, III, Thomas A. Martelle

Patent number: 11047569Abstract: A gas-fired, powered infrared burner unit comprising a perforate distribution plate configured as a tray and a porous foam metal burner element carried in the tray, the combination overlying the open top of a plenum box and sealingly fastened to an edge flange of said box by a retainer having a surrounding flange fastened to the plenum box flange by welding, staking or other means so as to eliminate the need for a gasket. The foam metal medium is constructed of a foam metal alloy to have a pore size of 1000 micros±5%, and produce, along with the perforations in the distribution tray, a port loading of between about 850 and 1,000 BTU/in2.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2019Date of Patent: June 29, 2021Assignee: Solaronics, Inc.Inventors: Richard Rush, III, Thomas A. Publication number: 20070224055Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a piston assembly having a piston housing filled with an electrolyte; a housing within the piston housing that divides the piston housing into a first portion and a second portion, the housing having apertures, a shaft connecting the housing to a piston head outside of the piston housing; and a porous material inside of the housing in contact with the electrolyte. Additionally, there are provided a method for filling the delivery chamber with a delivery fluid by withdrawing the piston head from within the delivery chamber. Yet another embodiment provides a method for filling a fluid delivery assembly by withdrawing a shaft from within the fluid delivery assembly to simultaneously displace a moving pump element within the delivery chamber and bypass fluid around a housing in the pump chamber.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 22, 2006Publication date: September 27, 2007Inventors: Deon Anex, Charles Schwimmer, David Black, Richard Rush, Michael Gearhart
