  • Patent number: 12555100
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for generating a proxy token, including receiving a proxy token initiation message from an entity on the computer network, the proxy token initiation message referencing an existing token stored on a distributed storage system, determining whether the entity controls a private key required to transfer the existing token to a different location on the distributed storage system, generating a platform signature based at least in part on a determination that the entity controls a private key required to transfer the existing token to a different location on the distributed storage system, and transmitting a proxy token generation message, the proxy token generation message comprising the platform signature, the proxy token being generated based at least in part on the transmission of the proxy token generation message and the platform signature, and the proxy token being linked in a memory to the existing token.

  • Publication number: 20060198465
Abstract: The present invention is related to methods and apparatus that can advantageously reduce a peak to average signal level exhibited by single or by multicarrier multibearer waveforms. Embodiments of the invention further advantageously can manipulate the statistics of the waveform without expanding the spectral bandwidth of the allocated channels. Embodiments of the invention can be applied to either multiple carrier or single carrier systems to constrain an output signal within predetermined peak to average bounds. Advantageously, the techniques can be used to enhance the utilization of existing multicarrier RF transmitters, including those found in third generation cellular base stations. However, the peak to average power level managing techniques disclosed herein can apply to any band-limited communication system and any type of modulation. The techniques can apply to multiple signals and can apply to a wide variety of modulation schemes or combinations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050215217
Abstract: A method and system characterizes an IF response of a receiver under test, such that an effect on the characterization by errors associated with uncertainties in knowledge of an RF stimulus signal used to perform the characterization is reduced. The method includes determining an estimate of an actual IF response of the receiver under test from IF responses of the receiver under test measured at overlapping frequency bands and a set of conversion coefficients computed therefrom, such that the estimate reduces the effect of the errors. The system includes a signal generator, an IF processor, a computer program, and a controller that controls the generator and the processor and executes the computer program. When a receiver under test is characterized, the receiver is connected between the signal generator, the IF processor and the controller. The computer program includes instructions that implement characterizing the receiver IF response.

  • Publication number: 20050204463
Abstract: A lighting system for use with an above-ground swimming pool includes a water access fixture extending through an aperture in the pool wall, for connection with the pool circulation system; and incorporates a sealed light assembly with a translucent cover; secured in depending adjoined, unitary relation with the access fixture. An extended electrical power cord connects with an external power supply and the light assembly, enabling removal of the light assembly from beneath the water, for repair or replacement. A rectifier/transformer 12-volt supply serves the planar array of LED lights, which may be R/G/B and programmed to give a spectrum of coloured lights.

  • Publication number: 20030144089
Abstract: A baseball practice bat has a movable handle portion disposed around a shaft between the barrel portion of the bat and the knob at the other end of the bat to provide sensual, visual, audible or electronic feedback to a practice hitter or coach as to proper hand and arm position while hitting a ball based on temporal feedback from the motion of the movable handle.

  • Patent number: 5785332
Abstract: An integrally joined two-piece motor vehicle steering knuckle assembly which includes a first component, preferably having a steering knuckle, a brake mounting bracket, a tie rod arm and, if needed, a steering rod arm, and a second component, preferably having a wheel spindle. The first component and the second component are integrally joined together by a process such as interference fit, welding and/or adhesive bonding, in the case of welding, most preferably friction welding, to form an integrally joined two-piece motor vehicle steering knuckle assembly.

  • Patent number: 4141566
Abstract: A sled frame for the releasable attachment of a wheelchair. The sled frame includes a body portion supporting a pair of laterally spaced, horizontally disposed support members which, in turn, are sized to be disposed between the wheels of a wheelchair to support the frame of the wheelchair on the sled. The support members are each provided with a plurality of locking devices which releasably engage the frame of a wheelchair to securely lock the wheelchair to the sled. The sled frame further includes a pair of laterally spaced, longitudinally disposed ski runners. A steering runner provided at the forward end of the sled is attached to a steering post that extends upwardly through the frame and rearwardly toward the wheelchair support area such that an occupant of the wheelchair may grasp the steering wheel carried at the upper extending end of the steering post to facilitate the steering of the sled.
