  • Publication number: 20250146170
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a homogenous, single crystal, electrically conductive, and narrow bandgap PbSe nanostructure is synthesized using a chemical bath deposition on, for example, quartz substrates, and includes a tunable iodine doping process to select the size and/or shape of the nanostructures. The single crystalline PbSe nanostructure can be exposed following an isolation process (e.g., etching process), and the concentration and/or distribution of iodine across multiple PbSe nanostructures (e.g., on a quartz substrate) can be adjusted during post processing steps, including heat treatments.

  • Publication number: 20250063847
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a photoconductive thin film of a plurality of Lead Selenide (PbSe) nanostructures arranged on quartz substrates. The photoconductive thin film is synthesized, for example, using a chemical bath deposition, and can include a tunable iodine doping process to select the size and/or shape of the nanostructures. • Patent number: 10569799
Abstract: A system for automatically adjusting a steering wheel of a vehicle may include a controller configured to generate a control signal for retracting a steering wheel to a collapsed position. The steering wheel may include a first half and a second half, and the system may include an actuator configured to collapse the steering wheel in response to the control signal. The actuator may be configured to fold the first and second halves of the steering wheel in a direction orthogonal to a direction of a longitudinal axis defined by a steering column, and retract the steering wheel along the direction of the longitudinal axis, towards a dashboard.

  • Patent number: 10551719
Abstract: An electro-optical directional coupler is provided having a substrate and a first and second optical waveguide formed on the substrate, where the second waveguide extends adjacent to and parallel with the first waveguide for at least one interaction length. The interaction length has a first end and a second end such that an optical signal applied only to one of the first and second waveguides couples to the other of the first and second waveguides between the ends. A first electrode is proximate the first and second waveguides and between the ends of the interaction length. A first voltage applied to the first electrode independently tunes a coupling of a TE mode. A second electrode located proximate the first and second waveguides and the first electrode and between the ends of the interaction length. A second voltage applied to the second electrode independently tunes a coupling of a TM mode.

  • Patent number: 10315578
Abstract: A vehicle modular side view mirror assembly is disclosed. The mirror base has a first section capable of attachment to a vehicle and a second section capable of attachment to a mirror head, wherein the second section is movable relative to the first section. The mirror assembly can include a mirror head having a reflective surface and a motor for moving the mirror head relative to a mirror base, the mirror head detachably connectable to the mirror base. Lidar sensors can be mounted in addition to, or in place of, the side view mirrors. Interchangeable modular heads can allow a user to customize the vehicle to have mirror heads, sensors, both, or neither. Mirror bases can move, allowing the mirrors and/or sensors to be positioned at different angles.
