Abstract: A golf club head is provided a weight system to adjust the center of gravity. In one embodiment, the weight system is a tube having a weight at one end that may be inserted into the golf club head to move the center of gravity at least forward and backward within 6 mm and up and down within 6 mm. Preferably, the tube is angled downward toward the face by at least 3 degrees. In another embodiment, the weight system may adjust the center of gravity of the golf club head along the x and z axis simultaneously using a weighted insert.

Abstract: A golf club head includes a heel end, a toe end, a front wall arranged for impacting a golf ball, and a crown extending between the heel and toe ends. The crown has a front portion and a rear portion. A sole extends between the heel and toe ends and extends between the front wall and the crown rear portion. The sole includes a primary portion and a relief portion. The sole relief portion extends rearwardly away from the front wall and upwardly toward the crown rear portion when the sole primary portion is positioned on a substantially horizontal surface. The sole relief portion may vary in thickness and may include a weight pad. The golf club head may have a hollow interior cavity with the crown curving inwardly toward the cavity between its front and rear portions.

Abstract: The present invention provides golf club heads exhibiting a relatively high moment of inertia. In certain embodiments, the present invention relates to golf putter heads comprising an aluminum inner core, which is capable of absorbing vibration, and an outer shell formed of another material, which is more dense and comprises less volume than the aluminum inner core. The material forming the outer shell may be polyurethane or nylon containing metallic powder.

Abstract: A golf club head includes a balance weight for swing balancing the golf club. The balance weight is selected from a plurality of balance weights and mounted in a weight cavity formed in the golf club head. A cover, imprinted with information such as the club model designation, is mounted to the club head body so that it substantially covers the balance weight. By providing a single cover for each model of golf club, in combination with a plurality of weights that are interchangeable between golf club models, the total number of balance weights that must be maintained in inventory is significantly reduced.
