  • Publication number: 20060236969
Abstract: A rocker shaft arrangement for a valvetrain system of an engine is provided. The rocker shaft arrangement includes a split rocker shaft having two fluidly separate internal regions. Each of the fluidly separate internal regions is arranged to selectively carry an independent supply of pressurized oil for distribution to valvetrain components. The two fluidly separate regions of the split rocker shaft are each further arranged to supply pressurized oil independent of each other to one of a high lift rocker arm and a low lift rocker arm of a rocker arm assembly for an engine valvetrain system.

  • Publication number: 20060236968
Abstract: A variable lift deactivateable valvetrain system for an engine is provided. The system includes a camshaft, a rocker shaft, a valve and at least one rocker arm rotateably connected to the rocker shaft and arranged to engage the camshaft. A connecting rocker arm is rotateably connected to the rocker shaft and is in constant engagement with the valve. The connecting rocker arm is arranged to operate in selective engagement with the at least one rocker arm to provide a variable lift deactivateable valvetrain configuration. The system further includes a low lift rocker arm having a low lift pin assembly and a high lift rocker arm having a high lift pin assembly. The low and high lift pin assemblies are arranged to selectively engage the connecting rocker arm responsive to oil pressure selectively directed to the low and high lift pin assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20050116702
Abstract: The present invention is a hard drive test fixture for supporting a hard drive during quality control testing. The test fixture includes a pan having a base. Rails are attached to the base of the pan for providing structural support to the pan and for positioning of the hard drive. A connection card is removably attached to the rails and is adapted for connection to the hard drive. The test fixture includes an ejection rod for facilitating removal of the hard drive from the test fixture.

  • Publication number: 20040146699
Abstract: A synthetic paper suitable for in-mould labelling is formed from a composite plastics sheet which is printable on at least one surface, and comprises a base layer and optionally a printable layer forming the printable surface. The base layer has a density of 0.65 g/cm3 or less, or, if there is no separate adhesive layer on the surface opposite the printable surface, a density of 0.7 g/cm3 or less. Preferably the base layer comprises a core layer and a co-extruded layer or layers, on one or both surfaces of the core layer. One of the co-extruded layers is preferably heat-sealable to blow-moulded bottles or other articles, and may comprise low density polyethylene, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene methacrylic acid copolymer or ethylene acrylic acid copolymer.

  • Patent number: 6040042
Abstract: This invention relates to a formulation for making a composite plastics film or sheet comprising a polyolefin, a filler and a voiding agent, characterised in that the voiding agent is a pentaerythritol ester of maleic rosin. This is particularly suitable for use on the printable surfaces of synthetic paper. A feature of this rosin is that it minimises the yellowing of the paper.
