  • Publication number: 20140046718
Abstract: System comprising a queue control unit (10) and a device (12) that is arranged to send a request (14) from a requester (24) for a specified service to said queue control unit (10). The queue control unit (10) is arranged to provide, to said device (12), place and time information indicating the place to which said requester (24) is to go to receive said specified service and the time at which said requester (24) is to go to said place if he/she wants to be prioritised for receiving said specified service.

  • Publication number: 20070028727
Abstract: A handle for use in conjunction with wrench heads comprises apertures for receiving a user's fingers enabling a user to use the wrench head without having to exert constant pressure on the handle and a shorter length than conventional wrench handles thereby enabling access hard to reach areas. The handle further comprises a more ergonomic grip as compared with conventional tool handles. Additional embodiments of the handle provide alternative shapes which enable a user to apply more force at the tool while applying less force to the handle.

  • Publication number: 20050099539
Abstract: A format conversion device and method for monitoring an image signal in a first, preferably high definition spatial/temporal sampling format on a monitoring device operating on a second, preferably standard definition spatial/temporal sampling format. The signal is converted to colorimetric components from which an output is derived such that artefacts in the colour image signal are emphasised. Preferably the monitored output is derived from a primary colour component, preferably the blue component. Alternatively a colour difference component may be used to derive the monitored output.

  • Publication number: 20050052573
Abstract: A method of displaying a video signal together with associated information. A video signal is transformed to a different scanning raster including an aspect ratio change, such that the transformed video occupies only part of the output scanning raster. The unused part of the raster is then used to display the associated information. The invention may be embodied in a downconverter for converting High Definition to Standard Definition video. The associated information may represent control room parameters, the display which can be used to identify or tag a video signal in a control room where a number of signals are viewed simultaneously on a number of picture monitors.
