The medication storage and retrieval device (21) for managing and monitoring use of medication, the device (21) comprises a housing (122); a movable support (123) coupled to the housing; one or more containers (1) removably positionable within the housing of the device locatable on the support, each container being configured to store a medication, the medication provided in a loose form such as tablets or pills. The device (21) has a first closed configuration when the movable support (123) and containers thereon (1) are stowed within the housing, and a second open configuration when the movable support (123) and said containers (1) thereon are located outside the housing for access by a user to allow retrieval of medication from a container, as required.

Abstract: The present application relates to a medical management system (100) and method for managing and tracking medical and/or clinical events associated with a patient such as vaccine administration, medicament administration, drug trial, and the like. The medical management system (100) comprises a pathogen care management platform (110), which is communicatively coupled to at least one electronic device (150 1-n) and at least one pathogen care device (120 1-n). The electronic device (150 1-n) is configured to identify the patient prior to a medical and/or clinical event, while the pathogen care device (120 1-n) is configured to detect a deposit of a pathogen care item associated with the medical event. Abstract: A point of care device for supporting management of medication at a point of care location is provided, comprising: a container defining an interior space accessible via an opening and a sensor system. A sensor system coupled to the container includes one or more vibration sensors, a memory, and a power supply. The vibration sensors (i) detect vibrations or movements resulting from end-user interactions with the container and (ii) output vibration signal data indicative of the vibrations detected. The memory stores the vibration signal data over a defined time period. In a first point of care mode, the container receives and contains used medication delivery devices into the interior space, and to contain said used medication delivery devices therein. In a second processing mode, the container allows access to the interior space for removal of the used medication delivery devices.
