  • Patent number: 11964129
Abstract: In various embodiments, a drug pump includes a housing and, within the housing, an expandable drug reservoir at least part of which is exposed to a pressurized propellant. The propellant exerts a substantially constant pressure on the drug reservoir. A flow restrictor significantly limits outflow from the pump, and preferably has both a small diameter and a long path length, which acts to control the outflow from the drug reservoir. As a result, the pump produces a substantially constant outflow.

  • Publication number: 20200278244
Abstract: The invention relates to a testing kit to test dental unit waterlines to meet the CDC water safety monitoring guideline using EPA compliant standards. The CDC recommends water used in non-surgical procedures to be delivered from dental unit waterlines that follow the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) standard for safe drinking, which contain less than or equal to 500 colony forming units of heterotrophic bacteria per milliliter of water (?500 CFU/mL). The goal of the invention is the development of a cost effective in-office test kit to monitor the safety of dental unit waterlines by following suggested EPA protocol of counting bacteria colonies after bacteria has gone through an incubation period.

  • Publication number: 20110151391
Abstract: The invention relates to a bracket for fixing to the exterior face of a tooth, the bracket having a base, which lies against the tooth and in which a trapezoid shape slot is configured to receive a wire bow. The base of the slot runs essentially perpendicularly in the oral cavity with elevated surface, thus retaining the wire bow, which exerts forces and torques in an essentially horizontal direction, in an optimum position in the slot. The unique form of the inventive brackets has a dimple concave female surface and a channel for attachments to passes through which would allow the female to receive a convex male surface extension from the attachments and form a locking mechanism between concave female surface and the attachment convex male extension when attachment is used during the Orthodontic treatment. This unique model of locking mechanism has created a new inventive platform in Orthodontics for interchangeable attachments.

  • Publication number: 20100316970
Abstract: An improved implant root for tooth implanting into the alveolar bone of a patient, said implant root comprises: a coarse threaded portion of the implant root is formed to have a wider base and to have an extension root with various radiant thread constructed, characterized with a circumferential constricted neck between these two segments. Both segments are designed to be seated into alveolar bone as implant root fixture. The widest diameter of the upper and lower segment is either equal or the lower base is slightly wider than lower segment for the most of it. The constricted neck in between the base and extension of the segments and the shape of the lower base segment allow the lower base implant root to serve as a primary stability anchor.

  • Publication number: 20100291503
Abstract: The invention is a device for use as a prop to hold the mouth open which consists essentially of a bite block with an elongated portion that is deflected and to provide a physiologically shaped elongated portion extends along the buccal border of the tongue to form a tongue depressor and light reflector as the bite block is held in position. The retaining arm, tongue guiding hole and the flange retain the patient's tongue in the bottom cavity of the patient's mouth.

  • Patent number: 6794626
Abstract: A printing plate mounted on an external drum platesetter is verified to be securely fastened to the drum using an autofocus system prior to spinning the drum to maximum operating speed. An autofocus mode is employed to set a reference signal using a light beam and light sensor. After establishing the reference signal at one end of the plate, the system switches to a second mode of operation where the autofocus system is fixed, and the reference signal is monitored as the drum and plate are rotated. If the reference signal deviates from the initial value, the rotation of the drum is stopped and an operator is alerted.

  • Patent number: 4075771
Abstract: A toy simulating a calculator having a visual display read-out by providing a housing having a display window with a continuous loop of strip material viewable therein, the strip having a plurality of stations with indicia thereon, the stations being preselectable by a child using the toy. A keyboard is provided, the keyboard having an actuating key and a plurality of indicating keys, each of the indicating keys having indicia thereon corresponding to a predetermined one of the stations. The mechanism includes a spring-biased disc having a plurality of projections thereon for coacting with a depressed indicating key, the mechanism being operated by a pull string which removes the stations from view, the strip then being moved under force of the spring upon sequential activation of an indicating key and the actuating key to permit the preselected one of the stations to appear at a predetermined location in a display window.
